welcome to the site man, your best bet would be to call motowoz and talk with them so they can get you set up right. Motowoz are really high quality shocks and you wont be dissapointed, i dont know if they make standard travel length shocks or not so you might have to go long travel with this set up. hope this helps.
We can answer all of his questions.. Jim needs to stick to what he does best.. build shocks

Hello everybody ;
I m new to this very nice website, and i am as the same time a new proud owner of a 2008 trx450er.i m living in Madagascar, African island located in the Indian ocean, here we have a national atv championship with most of the races being cross country and trail type. I already have some basic parts to upgrade a little bit my engine power (quadworks kit + hot cams stage2+fmf exhaust)and now I m more interested in a suspension upgrade.As my budget is limited right now; I was thinking of buying the motowoz shocks, with a linkage for the rear suspension, and leave the front A arm stock . Do you guys think it would be a good idea? Or this shocks will work great only with an aftermarket A arm? Please feel free to suggest another best setup you may think to be better, im just an occasional racer, with limited experience and I would like to beat a stock KTM 450 atv and polaris outlaw with my setup.
Congrats on the new Honda 450R! I would work on the front end first. I think a lot of people can tolerate the Honda 450r rear shock, but the front stock shocks need work in racing conditions . If you want to do it right the first time... you might want to buy the a-arms first and then save up for a pair of Motowoz shocks. The LSR rear linkage seems to be a popular item as well.
Could you define beating a KTM450? Because no one can guarantee that you'll beat every KTM you come across because rider skill plays a big role in those type of races. However, Your 450r should ride a lot better than a factory KTM with a pair of Motowoz shocks mounted up valved to your weight and specs.
