05 450 will not idle. tried 3 diff. pilot jets, messed w/air screw still nothing. its kind of eratic but 9 of 10 times it will stall if u dont keep it running. seems like it comes off the main jet circuit and dies out. Even when riding if i let off to stop for a sec (or longer) will idle 4 a sec or 2 then die. just had carb apart and cleaned, new cable. piston have anything to do with it? open for suggestions!!! really a pain in the arsh!!

sounds like dirty carb or air leak maybe.

check the rubber boots that mount the carb to motor. look super close, any splits/cracks?
did it just start doing this out of the clear blue?

this happen to my old 04 bike too..it was a screwed up sesnor in the carb....it ended up costing alot of money, but thats cuz it was worst case sanerio...hopefully urs is just dirty carb or something...but get ur dealer or something to check the sensor's in the carb...i had to buy a new carb beacuse to replace all the sensors was 50 dollars cheaper then getting a hole new carb or something like that..anywho good luck, i know how frustrating it gets...exspecially sitting on the line and it wont idle!

It sounds like what mine did, which was sensors.. Only mine wouldn't start at all without the gas cracked a tiny bit..

also make sure your hot start cable is not kinked!! it will lean out your a/f mixture enough to cause that scenario...i had it happen to me from running an aftermarket hot start lever kinked and fubared the cable...it's worth a shot if you aint got the problem licked yet. also make sure you have the right resistance on your TPS sensor after you get it running.
