i talked to RE today, they said they'ed like me to bring it to them, they think they can get more out of it. a lot folks say to get rid of the +3 crank. it's just a $$ thing right now. will see what it does with the a 208 web cam.

Don Im assuming you talked to John, but I would love to get my hands on this motor. Watching it get built and blow up 10 times now is really getting to me.
I can tell by the graph that we can/would get more out of it.

back in 07 i had a 470 build stock stroke, 98 mm bore with a venom 14.25 piston. hasd guy here in vegas install new valves (KW) and a port job. that motor seemed to have more punch on the bottom, never had it dynoed so don't know what the # were. I picked up a used cylinder cheap. i might think about going back to a 98mm bore with the venom pistom and stock stroke with the RE head and 208 web.

I would get the motor to racers edge. I know for a fact there is more in this motor than that.
My stockbore RE build with MILD parts got almost there.
55/33
That should be a 65/40 motor no problem.

who me? LOL mine was erased...it was a tad offensive given the scenario and so Im not gona raise a stink over it...
truth be told 58/38 is healthy...I just expected more....and thats where ill leave it...Ive always been very happy with my engine which has had similar outputs so i think if he can look past numbers he will be pretty stoked

Thanks for the help morgan, I know my dad called you guys and i guess were gonna make the drive in like 3 weeks to see you guys. I just cant see why it wouldnt make over 60 unless the dyno is a little stingy but hey, i guess well find out. Also were gonna get the web cam and see if that makes a diference

The 2 dynoes are within a HP of each other. I found many things wrong with Greylynns motor, Id like to take yours apart and see what the deal is.

Hey Grey, the things that Morgan found wrong with your engine, were they because of the last guy who built it? Was'nt it that guy TTG or something like that? He helped you out when the original build blew up right? Just curious.... Hope its running good for you now.
I gotta say, as much as Ive bumped heads with Morgan over there years, I feel like their doing some good work over there. If he's willing to look over the engine Id take him up on it.

Well 22 hrs later we're back home. it took us about 7.5 hrs drive each way. Got some good numbers. was at 58/38 on a dyno here in vegas. since that dyno was done, we swapped out the st III cam for a web 208. Grey's bike was run on the same dyno in vegas as mine, then at RE with nothing changed and was 1 hp higher on RE's.
We had a blown head gasket that got changed out, Brett did some tinkering on the head, don't know for sure what all he did, but I do know that they took .005 off the head, cause the head gasket was split and hitting head so they did the decking to clean it up. We did some swapping of intakes, mine and a FCI and my Rossier & Dasa exhaust. We even tried differnt fuels, my torrco 110 and some VP 110.
Ended up keeping my intake and changing exhaust to the Dasa. Will also stay with the Torrco.
Brett, Morgan and John were all Happy (along with us) with the final results. Brett said if I posted the graph, some won't believe it. I don't have the graph with me now, my son has it. I told him he could post it later or maybe Morgan will. I won't even post the numbers now, so you all can take a guess what it might be. But as a lot of folks say, numbers aren't all that important, it's what it does on the hill. but i bet my 6 paddle extremes will have to go and maybe a set of 8 paddle gliders.
As a final note, Thanks to all at Racer's edge. Was glad to meet them all in person and match names to faces. They're all top notch folks, hard working and they don't mind you picking their brains for some info. Thanks Again RE.
We'll be out to dumont next weekend. we're not racing in the FSW, but will be lined up next to them doing some running. we're also going to do a day trip tomorrow at Amargosa dunes to see how it does, and do some gearing swaps. there's a couple of 700+ raptors we're going to see what it'll do TO them.
Ill bet its around 70/50
Hoop, can you PM me the numbers, i wont be telling anyone.
Racers edge is where its at!!!!!!
