I have 2006 honda 450r I put the HRC kit on it about a year ago I also have a Youshamira exhaust and K@ N air filter on it . I know that you ae suppost to change the piston and rings every 15 hours. I want to put a new piston in it. I would like to put a piston there that I did not have to change every 15 hours if there is on that you can do that with. Which brand should I go with I also want to stay with the stock compression and bore. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Also I have a honda 61hp104 service manual and I was not able to find the stock compression ratio in it.
thanks Ross

I must have over 150 hours on my stock piston and if it wasn't for wanting more power I probably wouldn't change it for another 150-200 hours at lest.

if you have an 06 then you have 12:1 comp and i've had my piston in there for almost 2 years and i ride about 9-10 trips every summer and a few in the winter. remember it's a honda it's made to last

Which brand of piston should I go with . I probably have about 60 hours on it withe HRC Kit installed. I just dont want somethin to happen with the piston or rings that will cause me more money than just chanig the piston now.

can't really go wrong with cp,wiseco, or je. Wiseco tends to be on the heavier side and if it were my bike i'd only put in cp
