starter is in working order, begins to turn motor when it gets compression it disengages. At this point it rarely engages at all. The starter sounds fine and sounds like it is driving but it is just free wheeling.

Second issue and seperate issue, he can't get the flywheel off !!! and he is freaking out.

to get the flywheel off you thread a bolt into the center of the flywheel and when it gets up against the crank it pulls it off, you need to use a hardened bolt or the threads will strip, if I remember rite there is a one way bearing that goes between the starter and flywheel, sounds like it went bad on yours, the best thing to get is a clymer manual, it takes you through most repairs step by step, good luck with it, Steve
