The last time I spoke with Roger he said we would be running on Friday nights and we would be running pretty much the same as before.
Our first night is going to be the last weekend in April.

I was stationed at Ft. Riley for a few years then lived in Manhattan for a few years after I got out of the army. I didn't even know there was a flat track there lol.

It is right by the base, if you looked at the end of the runway you would have seen it in the back ground.

History:

Whiskey Lake Raceway is located about 3 miles east of Junction City KS. Nestled along side I-70, at the eastern end of Ft. Riley's airfield. Just south of the Kansas River, In what used to be a small lake (now dry) that was called Whiskey Lake. Nearby Junction City offers a wide variety of amenities such as lodging, convenience stores, fuel stations, restaurants, shopping, auto parts & repair, etc. As well as recreational, and historical sites.

Check out the area just across the freeway at exit #301 for example.

To get to the track,

From I-70, take exit #301. Turn northwest (toward the army base) about 300 feet to Whiskey Lake Rd. (Access Road) Turn right, drive northeast along side Ft. Riley's military base airfield (Marshall Field) approx. 1 mile. After pavement ends, take the next left onto Racetrack Rd. Drive about 1/4 mile. Track is on the right.

It is a fun and fast track... I had a blast out there last year.. The 520 would sing around that track.

Come out and join in the fun for the first race!

How many quads are racing out there, and what are people running? A friend of mine and I were planning on giving it a shot tonight but it was cancelled.

THE FIRST TIME YOU RACE THERE IS A 20.00 MEMBERSHIP FEE, AFTER THAT IT IS JUST 10.00 A NIGHT. SO YOU WILL PAY 30.00 THE FIRST NIGHT AND 10.00 THERE AFTER.

actually you will pay 50 your first time then 20 anytime after that.
