i would say that its gonna b a drag bike, looks good so far!

dune drag, i left the fan so it wouldnt get hot as fast as my 450r. it would get to 200* in about 3 laps on a hot day. looking to have it painted and mostly assembled by the end of the week.

with it being a bolt on bike right now the hp/tq will be pretty square. both being between 45-49 hp and ftlbs of tq. the rear tires are 25" 13 pdl extremes. it should pull them real well.

Nice you doing all fab yourself.... is the subframe chromoly or Ti ?

no im not doing all the fab work. i dont have a tubing bender. the fog aka the old man on here did my swing arm and steering stem. i have a proto type set of a-arms that will be getting shipped to me tomorrow. its all moly. with my calculations it should be in the 330-340 lb range and is still duneable, heck it still has the fan on it. i just want something to play on right now that will be easy to maintain, fun to dune race, and if i decide to build the motor every thing is there to support the motor with the chassis already being set up. it should get into the 5.0-5.1 300ft range as a bolt on bike.

it will stay bolt on for a while. im in no rush to do any mod's as travis fulton has a stock bore build i can make some passes on.

No more rocks for the SFA till it gets better axles John. and right now I'm plannin more power.

Friggin Jeep axles suck and now that i've dug into the zr2 more i wish i would have just bought another. Although the SFA just looks KICKASS.

AMChassis prototype ds650 front end. chromoly arms, chromoly spindles, chromoly tie rods all with studded heims. +3 forward -2.5 in. this was the trial fit. they need adjusted still and will be comming back off for paint.

it should weigh inbetween 330 and 350 depending on the tires i use on the rear.....skat traks are heavy.... looking to hit 5.0 or faster in 300ft with a bone stock motor. this bike still is running a stock gas tank and a FAN!

bone stock. it took my honda a piston and cam to run 5.0 we will see how this will do.....i think its very doable.

my buddy runs a ds650 in motocross & supercross.. thing is a tank... far from stock tho.. ugly but crap its fast. was hard to get away, or catch him on my 450 with mods... ill post a pic of it...

got my a-arm bushings made,my battery and electronics tray under the seat made, exhaust is on. heck idk what else i did but it was a nice day so i snapped a few pics. i still need to paint the a-arms and spindles but that comes after i cut and fit the tie rods. it might make a trip out before they get pulled off for paint.

i use to race a ds, fast and jumped awesome, only thing that sucked about it was that it was too top heavy

correct. its the bike Rastlin12 never finished. we are waiting on a new wiring harness to get here and then we are taking it for a spin! next winter it will get powder and new plastic.it will be hauling its extra motor weight and 300lb rider

You think itll stay down with a +4 on 13 extremes? Id think youd atleast want a 6..So whens that piston and cam going in.

no piston and cam.i can keep it under control. it has the +3 forward arms. they are just little 25" 80ro 13 extremes. i will have a wheelie bar for it for IF/WHEN i take it to the track. it wont get a piston and cam anytime soon. it will be sprayed before motor work.

Lol, bar and a 25 shot..sounds like itll be a fun bike. Are you thinkin bout sellin it already? Get it to the track atleast once.

well i tried it out today........and it broke the billet jj&a sprocket hub. hard to understand why on 87 octane stock motor??

it should be warrantied. i think the threads in the nuts that go on the sprocket bolts must have pulled out.

i have a bar now. i guess i cant do wheelies at leerjak anymore.... might have to tweak the bar yet. i had fog set it up for only 25"+ tires and i might have to have the fog do a bit to it so i can drop to pro-wedges if i have too.

update.............. this bike got a boondockers 15 shot put on it, ran 4.8s first time at the track, did more tuning, ran 5.1 on stock motor, did another gear swap and bought another motor before i took it back to the track. only sprayed it at the track once. here is the new motor combo, hopefully by the end of winter i will quit being lazy and have a wet system wired up on it.

Good to hear ... I would like to see what you could have gotten on the stock motor and a wet kit... all in all I would have to say this is one of my favorite DS'S!!!!! there is something I just love about the stock motor in the 4's... well almost stock...

big block i am 2slo4u on www.atvdragracers.com, i did 2 gear changes from the first time i had this at the track on the spray and it had picked up A TON! i feel that on the 20hp pill and with the higher gear that the bike would have went some 4.6s on the spray. I KNOW that these bikes have 4.9s in them on motor. the night i ran the 5.1 i was bracket racing and the guy had red lit so that was the only time i got to run it out the back door. i have another stock motor i am going to get going so hopefully i can mess with it too. thanks a bunch for the compliments!
