ok i got a buddy with a yfz 450, its long traveled, he just got it strocked and got the head port and polished and a high comp piston with stage two cams. he runs 100 octane and im not sure what sprockets hes running. well my bike isnt running right now but i have a 11.5:1 piston with stage two cam and a pipe and k&n. i need to beat this guy what should i do!? big bore? port and polish? help me out here fellow 450ans!

Im just kidding. First get it dynoed and see where your a/f ratio is at race him and see where you need to go from there.

What year of bike? My guess is 04-05..? Are you willing to run race gas?

if he's got it stroked your probably gunna have to get a stroker too, unless you one up every one of his parts, like get the same type of part but better say he has trinity racing port, you get RE port

You'll have to go mod for mod and be the better rider.

You will need that stuff unless he's not a good rider.

well i have no problem runnin race gas i just need a high comp piston right? i was told to get a web cam but im not sure how reliable those are.

Go for a +3 stroker and 101 mil bore on the cylinder.+1 on all valves with head work done by a PROFFESIONAL. not a guy with a dremel. And he should be playing catch up

you should be good on a big bore and port and polish, stroker requires a lot of work because you gotta split the cases!
