I just found out from my buddy that there will be a hare scramble in antioch TN tommorow. It is a buddy race and 5.5 miles long. I want to compete sooooo bad but I dont know if i should due to not have goggles w/ tear offs, having tiny 18" tires for motocross, and i dont have an air box lid and i am sure there will be some creek crossings and ill suck some water in. I have never raced before so i really want to. plus i dont have anybody that i would trust to race my quad. I dont have the details on the location yet but i will post em soon. ANYONE COMING?!? this stuff never happens around here!!!

Its a great track! I dug it in for the owner, no big creek crossings, 2 creeks that I remember, 1 is a bit muddy. Nothing you should worry about....Come on out! I'll be there for sure

That was a lot of fun today. Dave (conversd1) is a cool guy..... we talked breifly. Him and his buddy ended up winning the open a class which i was pretty stoked to see. I was worried for a little while cuz some fool on a KTM was in first till his front right bearing locked up which broke his wheel off or something like that. I didnt have anything else to do but take some pics but im still trying to figure out how to make pictures smaller (under 300k)...... havent quite gotten used to the macbook yet. Dave, what is ur email i can send em too u and then u can post em if you want.

Ah i dont want to hear about it. I found out about it yesterday afternoon. here are my excuses: 1. I should have been told by my friend a couple days ahead of time (but i think he was scared i would beat him). 2. my intake valve is out of spec it is at 8 thou instead of 6 thou. 3. my bike is set up for mx with no air box lid and 18" rear tires with gtt mx rebuilds and linkage. 4. I dont have an airbox lid and there was lots of places i would have sucked up water. I wanted to compete so freakin bad. I am think I am going to sell my snap on tool box and get a stock 05 R and jus rebuild the suspension for xc. I love jumping and mx too much to convert my bike over to xc. Harescrambles look fun as chit though..... i have never raced at all yet nor have i ever attended a race so today really got the fire burning in me. Yeah i know no excuses...... i need a tampon. hahaha

It got nasty quick, the first lap was slick, but the track was gettting tackier each lap...The KTM was David Crane, a Pro-Am GNCC rider along with his partner, its hard for me to compete with that, not quite there yet, haha. They had us beat by several minutes til the bearing locked up. Score another one for the Honda!!! haha

Once I saw half the people get stuck right away in the part that goes through the barn, I was soooo glad that i didnt enter...... with 18" rears and mx linkage i sit real low to ground and i def would have gotten stuck. It was pretty funny to see that guy on the KTM ride back to his trailer on three wheels!

Gah that was prolly the worst part..... nearly every quad got hung up there...... you better believe my low rider mx quad would have been stuck!

Im runnin 22's on the rear and lovin it. I was going around a lotta guys that were getting stuck the other day. I'll never go back to 20's or 18's. Then again, I dont do MX. Just XC.

I have always run 20 inch rear tires, never had a problem. Just keep it hammered! Mikey, those 22s ride a little rough don't they?
