I know that some of the site sponsers have some... I got these ones. They are cheap and you don't have to buy a seperate mounting kit

Don't know if they are the best, not battle tested yet but they are under $50 with a mount kit

-the secound set of gaurds on that page, by the way

powermadds with "the gauntlet" i assume you're buying them for the scramble? i've been thinking of getting "the gauntlet" for the scramble and races to come.

The Gauntlet

that setup is spendy though...does anyone know a less expensive option with the same protection?

Thanks guys. I was looking at the PowerMadds earlier today. http://www.powermadd.com/atv.html Woodward has them. The Gauntlet does like a good setup for ridin in the snow, but I think Im going with the PowerMadd PowerX.

I found some PowerMadds on Ebay for under $30 with the kit. That seems like a good deal to me. The color don't match my bike, but I don't care to much for looks.

i like the star series with handwraps and use the gauntlets in the mud

just don't buy a strictly roost guard set. You want full wrap around protection. The powermadd WITH the star warp around is great, I have them, but the polysport ones mentioned are good also.

You said XC. You are in tight trees by definition. A couple of companies make alum bar style that are great also...like maier. The goal is to protect from trees and such, not roost. If they are just roost deflectors, when you hit a tree, which you eventually will, they will pivot back and still break fingers.
