I got a great opportunity from Tom at ATV Four Play to be one of the testers for his new bars. I am sponsored by him, so you can take my opinion with a grain of salt. I am not trying to sell his product, just give my opinion.

1st PDS system is smooth through the travel of the bars.
2nd The stiffness adjustment can be make in seconds
3rd The bend of the bars closely matches the CR high bend
4th The quality of these is amazing, If anyone can manage to break or bend these they did a lot more damage than just the bars.
5th They have grease points at the pivots with a grease zerk you can leave in or remove and cap off after greasing.
6th The bar ends are 1 inch longer 6061 aluminum to help accommodate control and hand guard mounting options. Width is 32 inches.

After some beating today I have to say I am impressed with them. The biggest thing I noticed was the PDS. While it seemed soft at first the progressively got harder as the force increased while in the attack position through some nasty washouts. The test ones we have the risers are cast aluminum the retail ones will be CNC aluminum. Retail is $295 on these. There available though ATV Four Play.

As of today Feb 18th I have about 13 hours in testing of these bars. I have the okey dokey artichocky to Try to bend or try to break these bars down. I have dropped the ball, I can't do it. These are the real deal. I know someone will point out that I am a sponsored rider, I am Tom is a local business owner who I have been spending money and time with for awhile now. And I support him and his shop as much as he does me. Now some comments have been made about how there not bling, bling certified. If your a racer you know one thing, if it works you use if not you Ebay it. These work so I don't care if they look like a pair of ape hangers on a Harley, these work. Alot of time and R&D went into these so its not a fly by night design. We the riders gave the feedback in the pre production and Tom came through for us. Heres some pics.

id like to kno some more, also some pics and prices. how similar are these to flex bars??
ginxd00
http://www.atvfourplay.com/New%20Products%...Soft%20Bars.htm

There nothing like Flexx bars

retail is going to be $295

These were originally designed for the mini riders, but some persuasion and input from us woods riders and motocross riders they are now being developed for the big quads.
450 SLUG
they look interesting. $285 is cheaper than flexx bars right? still a little too much for me to be spending on a pair of handle bars tho. i have their mgc a-arms maybe the can give me a little break on the price question.gif id like to hear some reviews too

ive heard people saying that someone is trying to steel flexx idea and hey look very similar

Not at all. Uses a totally different design to dampen vibration.

yea there was a long thread on atvriders about these.. so you can actually buy these now?
ginxd00
They should be available at the end of this month. I think people will be all over these once they see them in person and actually feel how they work. I will have a pair on to abuse and test out for a race in North Carolina on January 10th. I am going to try to take a extra pair if available so people can stop by and see them off the bike to understand the way they will out perform the other brands. If anyone wants any technical details or order availability call and ask for Tom or Jake @ 330-289-1423 tell them you saw the ad Dave posted and they will know where you heard about it.

i thought the problem was the patent and fasst was trying to not let them make them?
Nor*Cal
I doubt Fasst will be able to stop them.... as long as they make some changes to the design (which they did), they should be fine.

They look like they will work just as good as the Flex bars....
ginxd00
The patent is very vague, and I believe Fasst has backed off. I do like the Flexx bars don't get me wrong I ran them since the first single cross bar model was released. The 2 main problems I have with them is, the dampening is good but it stays the same throughout the travel where as the Four Plays bars progressively gets stiffer through the travel. Second one is the bends ALOT of us like the CR high bends and Flexx is close with the 12 degree moto, but dosent have the rise like the CR high does. The Four Play bars do have the upward rise like the cr high's and you don't have to use the washer type shims like the Flexx bars have. I used to run the shims, but as soon as you get the free play out of the bars you loose the dampening effect. Tom is a great guy and will listen to what people want.

Keep in mind all the similar a-arms, swing arms, stabilizers , out there as well. I think Four Play is in the right releasing a bar to compete with flexx. The design may have been inspired by fasstco, but four play design seems different to me.
smokin_6.0
i figured the patent was in about the same line as tireball patent. Where they actually patent the idea and not the product.

Pics and review are posted

Please explain this to me... this doesn't make sense...

You are simply squashing a rubber bushing, its going to get harder and harder to squash that bushing as you press down on it right? How would that not be progressive dampening? I'm sure its not as sophisticated as the new ATV Fourplay bars, but it still does it progressively. Just confused me with your wording there I think...

What I am trying to say is that between the two, I noticed that the Soft bars have more of a gradual increase in resistance when being forced down. As where the Flexx bars have resistance through the travel, but never seem to get harder until it bottoms out. Also they seem to bottom out a little faster. That's the best way I can try to describe it.

I say good for them!, fasst has had the market for sometime now and without competition theres no reason to adjust the pricing. More competition for business will translate into better pricing for us and fastco will probably even selling more units if the price is lower
katch26
any finished product pics?

I had some posted, but my wife deleted out my photo bucket folder. I am going to try to get some more back up one the weather here clears up a bit.

Ok that explains it a lot better.
ginxd00
When I had the pics up, before my wife deleted them you could see how the elastomers differ from the two. The flexx bars are on the side, and the soft bars are hidden under and are vertical like a shock would compress.

these bars are sweet as hell, never had a set of flexx's but have seen and sort of felt a few. i would much rather have these, just because of the adjustibilty and how it progressivly get stiffer. yes they may look a little bulky, but the engineering makes up for it!

Mount directly to stem, no clamps needed. They make them for almost every stem including stock!
