To get away from all the topics about porting and motor work i thought i'd see who on here races motocross. I know of a few that i have talked to about suspension but it just seem like there arent too many MX riders here. I joined yfz central because it just seems like there are soo many mxers on there. Let me know what class you race, where you race and whatever else you want

i want to race mx but my parents say no. i go to the tracks on the weekends and they may let me race this year.
NE450Rider
I race up here in NW Nebraska in the local circuit. Class B. Gonna try indoor next month about an hour and a half away from here in South Dakota. Afta i get my long travel........ 1022.gif

I do not race just play ride on some tracks.... I can not afford to have any major injury so I just play safe as you will find most of the mature crwod on here does... as you get older you start to like sand riding more IMO.. easier on the joints..LOL
mjc597
i do. i started racing dirtbikes 8 years ago, i raced for like 4 years straight and then sold my bikes to get a quad. my friends and brother kinda stopped racing and just trail rode for a couple years. i had a 86' 250r with a 310 first...then went to a 2000 400ex thhat i modded up for mx. only raced it a few time(got married bought a house ) i traded it for a banshee for something to play with..i raced mx with the banshee a couple times, nothing major, then i had a son. after he was born i sold the banshee and just rode the wifeys' 400ex. last year i bought an 04 450r and did a few things to it and started racing with my friends again..god did i miss the tracks..i raced quite a bit this year and next year my wife is going to race too. soon enough our son will be racing too!
kfxracer97
I race c-class mx in michigan but this year i will probably be moving to b-class. we have a new series in michigan for 09' cant wait for that.

I do it's expensive and probably wont be doing it much longer as it's hard to fund 2 people a weekend. So i will no longer race until i can afford it and just fund my son. I race 30+ vet and run the local series here in California and was going to run the ITP series next year. My son races 8-11yr old 71-90cc cvt mini on his Apex and has a series championship in his class. So i will see what next year bring us before i make the decision of not racing next season. I havent raced all year due to injury in Feb so i'm itching to race again.

i raced novice a lil bit up here in upstate NY. Just got a 450 bout 2 months ago. Hopin my parents will let me race a lot this year.

did you run district 3? i live in johnstown, like a half hour from albany...i did a few district races and i raced the RMR series a little bit..
chaseMX41
I race the Motokazie supercross series in Minnesota, only got to about 6 races last summer, but planning on doing a lot in 09. Me and two to three other buddies all race together. Which helps with travel expense considering there are no races within 100 miles. We are going to race an indoor event on January 24-25 in Northern Minnesota, and possibly another in February. I would like to go to some D23 motocross races this summer too.
I race b class, only because there is A and B in the series. I'm fat and slower that most of the guys in my class haha.

I really do wish there was more motocross scene here on the org.
rwhitley
I've been racing MX in California since I was about 4, After the 2000 season I took a break for a few years and joined the army. While in Texas for my first stint.. i started back up in my 250R and race some of the GCQRA races..... good times. And when I get back from here....... going back to it, SO EXCITED!!!
Gumby
I've been racing MX since '99. I've race Open B, Production B, 4stroke B (back in the day of the 250r), and currently racing Vet B since I turned 25.
DMAC450ER
i raced A class last year localy only got to 6 races i in D34 in PA but hope to do some D6 stuff next year. but i'm going to be in college until the end of july so that might make it a little difficult.

I race local pro as well as ITP quadcross pro and in 09 WORCS pro as well

We've race MX on both quads & bikes here in West TN & across the mid-south. LL's is only about 40 minutes from where we live so been there the past 5 years in the A & Pro-Am classes on a TRX450R.

yeah i raced the last 2 supercrosses up at royal mt. i'm only like 10 minutes from royal.. i also raced an RMR event at twistervalley in fort plain.. walden is a really nice track, you should try to go there, they do open practices. you should look into the rmr..rock maple racing series,it's alot of fun alot of good people, also it's an all quad series, lots of different classes and you get 3 motos instead of 2.. plus practice..tons of track time!!! definetely check it out well worth the money..i hate paying for a long day of waiting around at district races, and then you get to race for a short amount of time and sit around again.. the race days at rmr events are great cause you go out 3 times and the motos seem to fly by..look into it, try it out you'll be glad you did!
Got2RideRed
i race anywhere close to the area haha. the local track is Buffalo River Race Park, I was out most of the season due to an injury, caught the last couple races, hope to be doing some indoor!!!!

Cool! Hope to see you in Fergus! Better double check the dates though. I think that the races are 2 weekends in a row in February this year. like the 1st and 2nd or 2nd and third weekend....

You ever hit up any of the Faircross races in MN? I hit up a few this year. They are kind of fun for something different to race on too.....

mjc597

motoracer58
i race Open A and Pro-Am in D6 in PA and the PAMX series, next year im gonna try out the NEATV series and D6 again, maybe the steel city national but not sure, i never have good luck at nationals and the A class is a joke until the top 10.
astro boy
I race the CMRC series up here in ontario canada. I race the +30 and intermediate. Anybody know where the indoor track is in NY, and the name of it?
iceracer23
i race mx..... Great Lakes Quad Racing Action
Prednizone
Almost solely MX for me. I raced last season in a local Quadcross series in the 250 2-stroke C class (my old 250R!) and took the championship. Did well in the ITP Quadcross events that came to the area too. Next season I'll be on this 4-stroke thing, so I'll be in the Vet 30+ classes. Probably gonna start in C, but if there's no contest there, I'll move up to B and try not to get my ass handed to me.
quadracer69
i use to race Gulf Coast Quad Championship Series its local and i was in class B. prolly wont race this coming year due to working, my days are sunday-thursday 5pm-3am and frday and saturdays are my days off so i sleep most of the day now cry.gif banghead.gif but hey im payin the bills.

Yeah it looks like a double header weekend on the 14th and 15th of feb. in Fergus again. I raced mostly at Jordan last summer, and once at the fair race in Waconia, and the one in Appleton also in Hutchinson. I'm from down by Marshall so everything is pretty far. What class you entering in Fergus? I'm thinking Quad 450 B.

You are correct. 14th and 15th of January. I am going to race Quad 450 A or Open A. Depending on how they separate them. I'll prob. get killed after 2 laps since I've been spending way too much time behind a computer designing products and tooling and not near enough behind a set of handle bars for the last 4 months.... : ( We are going up to Grand Forks, ND to race Quad Wars with the monter trucks tomorrow to try and get back into the seat again. Not sure how that is going to be. Haven't heard too much about Quad Wars with the Monster Trucks these days. Used to be really big several years back. Should be fun though....

i race only mx, and love it!!! i race a/pro class have been racing for about 7 years now and each year i tell myself that i am racing every national but i never do, lol 06/07 i won pro quad in the Midamerica Arenacross series, im way faster indoors on more technical, tight tracks than outdoor tracks. i was out for a year with a injury to my ankle, but now 2 surgeries later im crippled(spelling) i cant move my ankle up or down so it really sucks!! so i've kinda slowly backed off racing and have focist more on building motors.
since i have 3 kids i will never get out of racing and cant wait until they start! thats about it for me.
Forty3mx
I race motocross Quad A and Open A.

Also race bikes motocross Lites A Motocross A Open A District 16 and some Millville MN super series races

And I ran one Hare scramble in AA on bikes.

In Wisconsin, to compete in the A class you need to be pretty talented. We have a lot of fast guys and a lot of guys that went Pro/Pro Am Nationally.

The B class is very very fast. If you can compete in the B class, that's saying something.
