Hey Guys,

Ok well i was riding the other day and its about 25 degrees here and noticed its real hard to push the throttle after a bit of riding, it feels like the slide is expanding due to the cold weather and making it real hard to push. I remember it did this last winter too and doesn't happen in the summer.

Just wondering if this is possible and if there is anyway to fix this?

things dont exspand in the cold... they contract... you could have water in your cable... id start by cleaning the carb and putting on a new cable.

the body of the carb can contract on the slide. making it tighter, but a new cable is probably good too. you might be about to get a new carb with a carb heater in it tho. but idk

one thing to remember is that gas doesn't freeze until like -170 degrees...so if your bike was full the night before, the fuel could be significantly colder than the temperature outside.

as for the metal being cold enough to contract...we're talking a few microns at most...and carbs aren't machined to that tight of tolerances.

My vote is water or liquid in your cable.
