I say Honda, but have nothing bad to say about the raptor. I never seen/checked one out before.

i dont like yamys but the raptor 250 would be a good learning bike cause its got a clutch. plus it looks preety nice.

Depends on weather you think she'll be able to reliably pull a clutch... IF no then 250EX... But any other reason the Raptor is such a superior machine.

Raptor 250 is by far way better than the Honda 250, I went round and round on this subject before buying the Yami, I like everyhting about the Raptor it's fun to ride and has so much going as far as aftermarket parts as well.

the raptor is a nice bike but the newer 250s can use a the clutch or work as an automatic. A guy had his son on one today at st.joe moves around pretty good. Hee also had a brand new 700xx, the more i see them the more i want.
My 13 yr old daughter just took 3rd in the WORCS series on a stock 300ex, great quad but heavy. We just got Allie a Rappy 250 and she loves it way more. Bone stock it makes 16.8 hp on the dyno. Motoworks pipe , no airbox lid and a 165 main jet ....19.6 hp.The quad is light and agile, make good power and the ergos are good for her small frame. It's a no brainer...Raptor 250. BTW I picked up a brand new one from a dealer for $2800 out the door.

if she's willing to ride a clutch, the raptor 250 of course. new technology, light weight!

Something else to think about, you can pick Blasters up CHEAP. Look for a 2003 or newer for the good brakes. I got my 9 year old an 03 and just yesterday installed a g-force axle and +3 arms. Stock the motor is peppy but pretty tame and can be made into a little runner for cheap as they progress. Plus they are dead simple to work on and there are tons of race parts on e-bay.
