You can just take baby steps and work your way up to full extension when learning a new trick.

Clickers are any easy first trick to learn it helps alot to stretch before you ride also.

as far as the can can goes, i started out by just putting my leg over and landing side saddle until i got more comfortable with it.

like everyone said just take baby steps. don't just go for full exstension the first time thats how you get hurt. also make sure the jump is big enough so you have enough time to do the trick. also its best if its a jump your comfortable on so you know you can hit it perfect every time then you can concentrate on what your body is doing not if the quad is level or am i going to make.

biggest trick ive done was a no-hander lander, so im by far from good
but best advice like stated above take baby steps, throw a leg off to the side, or a hand then both hands then both feet, then both feet one hand, just work your way up , and only move on to the next step when you feel comfortable doing what youve already done!!

i just dont understand how you have to position your body

for heel clikers just start bringing your feet up little by little and when you start getting your feet over the bars you want to start bringing your body forward i've learned that if you have body/butt over the gas tank its much easier to get the click

Im making about a 5' tall freestyle ramp to start off with, it dosent change shape from spinning or rain or even 4x4s trying to wheelie off it.
On my terebly small table top I am at the point of landing with one hand. and a point back. Just remember that if you point back and run out of time to bring your arm back to keep your wheels streight, I have a tendance to turn to the right if I point back to the left.

1.Wear top of the line gear
2. master the basic jump
3.learn how to control the quad mid air. ( side motion, tip front forward, ect.)
4. start with small tricks such as no handers and no footers.
5. DONT GO OVER YOURE SKILL

You need time in the air, and total control, big jumps with alot of air is the way to go so your not rushing any tricks, start of with no handers, and some heel clickers then go to some nac nacs and start adding some style to your tricks you'll be supermanning before you know it.
Be prepared to get hurt fair warning , i go in a straight line now

What i learned is that you just go bawls out....no babysteps, babysteps...are for babies...just find a jump that looks big enough, floor it, and do whatever trick you feel suits you. If you crash and get hurt, it ain't ur thing, if you nail it. Ur good....hahaha, jk. Babysteps are the best.

no offense but if you think to much and start to and end up crashin your probly not on a big enough jump. but most likely your not good/ comfortable enough in the air to be trying anything. again no offense just my opinion.

can you freestyle with stock shocks? isnt freestyle the most baby thing for a bike if you nail the jump evry time? becaus you have a landing and a metal ramp?
