well recenrly my clutch in my 660 started slipping really bad. i thought it was just really old plates, so i figured it was time for a new clutch pack. when i pulled the clutch cover off this is what i found..... 3 shattered clutch plates. WTF .............

anyone ever have this happen to them before?

Thats a first for me... Maybe it got very hot and the plates cracked and eventually fell apart?

Sure have, on an 02 raptor, it happened at the same time the tranny took a dump.

i never ran it hot. about 15-20 300-500 ft passes and park for a while. than do it again.

Never seen a quad do that but i did it to a R6 one day when it broke on that it was from clutching up wheels and the tranny was goin out to. So if it was anything like that you might wanna dig a lil deeper and look and see what the gears look like from first to third.
