i was interested in trying some racing just for fun. i live in delaware, but the only events that i can find on the internet was the agp stuff. a lot of that is way north for me. im pretty close to maryland, anyone know of a mid atlanticish series or just events? i dont like mx, but have always rode trails, so i thought it could be fun to try a race or two...
thanks josh

I run in the AGP and it is alot of fun. The next race is in Millville NJ which is pretty close to you. Give it a try you wont be disappointed.

I have to agree with PA_Rider. The Next Race is in Millville which is only like 1 1/2 hours from Maryland and an hour from Deleware Memorial Bridge

i actually just saw that. you dont need to run all of the races? my bike is mostly stock besides hrc kit and tires, is it worth coming with that?

a lot of people are stock... im bascially stock besides the exhaust. but i would reconmend some nerf bars. with XC it's not about speed, it's about getting in a groove, pace and endurance.
suspension work is more important than power. you should defiantly come, i only raced once and im hooked. Dale ( AGP series operator ) said that it's possible that this millville track may be part of NJ trails for legal riding under a 35$ a year membership. this past sunday i help clear out a good portion of the trials and it's very similar to PA riding w/o the rocks. tons of hill climbs, elevation changes, cambers, dirt that you can dig into, unlike typical south jersey places where it's sandy. PM me for more information check out atlanticgrandprix.com and check out this flyer

reason for the cancellation was the last 2 of 3 races were in millville. and the owner of the land wants to turn it into a atv and dirtbike park. so having a race before the approval of the park will only hurt our chance of having a year long riding area thats just like PA riding here in our backyard. but the AGP season should start in Jan 4th... so dont drink too much on new years :) check out thequadbuilder.net for more information

well the new raceway park is thunderbolt raceway and thats MX.... seriously 3 mins down the street is a cement plant and the owner is letting us turn all his barren land for a x/c park. so we will have both 3 minutes of each other... so it be like replacing rausch creek. but it will be part of the 09 season.

We'll probably ride trails & the natural terrain park. I might screw around a little bit on the mx track but I won't be able to hit it too hard.
