So here is my ? Last week i was running my quad real hard drag racing. and when it got finish with like my 4th run it would stall at the very end of the run when i pulled the clutch in. So i took the carb off to check for dirt and debris nothing... cleaned air filter again ..new sprokets chain and went over the whole quad because im shipping my quad to glamis on the 18th. So i took it out today after doing all this it ran ok at first the we dragged raced and it did the same thing. It almost sounds like its starving for gas cause if i pump the gas it will kind of stay running and if it does stall i have to pump the gas to get it running again. So i took the quad home and checked everything again and turned the pilot screw 2.5 turns out ran the quad for a bit and it felt real strong ran great for awhile but then drag raced 2 runs and it did the same thing again...

So my ? is what am i missing.

things ive done so far

cleaned carb
cleaned air filter
turned pilot screw from 1.5 turns to 2.5 turns which really helped with popping on decel.
Changed the plug the old one was white (which tells me im running lean)

also the bike ran great till last week i havent done any jetting or mods

any help would be great as i dont want any problems when im away 2000 miles from home
p.s i was thinking of getting my valves done b4 i go honda wants to charge me 150 to do it would valves cause me to stall or is it just a fuel/air problem

Mine did same thing, turned idle up and bam doesnt happen anymore.

Try ^^. Also, fix the lean condition. Before taking it to Honda, you could pull the valve cover and check the valve clearances for yourself.

well i feel like a A$$ the problem was my stupid after market fuel cap breather it was clogged up and creating a vacume when drag racing when i was just putting around it was fine but when you are dumping fuel into the carbs racing, it leaned itself out
