OK - I not be savvy with this forum bullsh--, but at least I've got the dunes down...yeah, I'm back. Jeff (dez) turned me on to the new Pulse Charger, which he explained in detail the mechanics as he installed it on my quad last week. I had a Duncan 'Fat Boy' but wanted to check out the responsiveness and torque of this new creation, so I bought one - never know when you'll need a backup, or a second 450R. I had a 185 jet and moved up a clip for the Duncan, but went to a 175 jet and moved down a clip with the PC, which ran a little rich, I later found out at the dunes, but not real noticeable. Keep in mind that my cam is STOCK and the only other mod is a K&N airbox kit, running on 92 oct. gas. My neighbor brought his brand new 450R to Gordon's Well and I ran into him over at Sand Limo's camp (next to mine). He had the Duncan sticker kit plastered all over his bike (I'm not into a bunch of stickers-if you're not getting paid to run 'em, don't), a Curtis Sparks pipe, which he swore by, an airbox kit, blah-blah-blah-blah-blah. We went to the hill (North side of freeway - across from Buttercup), he wanted to race, I said "nah" - he insisted, and after a "ready? -- go? -- go?" he took off ahead of me, and I wasted him. The 70 lbs. difference is nothing if you could have witnessed how bad I blew him away. That PC RIPS! It's got the torque I was looking for, the responsiveness I was hoping for, and wait till I put a Hot Cam in -- it's going to rip my arms off! I've worked in the industry for a couple of manufactures since 1992, I've done many "shootouts" for Dennis Cox and Bill Lanphier (Hi-Torque Publications), I know Loren and Lenny Duncan personally, Alan Knowles of CT Racing, Curtis Sparks, and your top racer boys - Doug Eichner, Tim Farr - you get the jist. I know what I'm talking about, and boys, the CP is indeed impressive, and worth every penny. I don't even want to use my 'Fat Boy' which I only have one dune trip on. I guess I just had to plug it, it's that good. Can't wait to meet you guys next time in the dunes!

so do you think the pc is better than the duncan?? did you race anyone w/ your duncan and then race the same person w/ the pc? i'm really tempted to get one but i already have a lot in to the motor including the duncan pipe my bike runs great but i wonder if would be better w/ the pc?

the only thing i have seen reguarding testing of the duncan pipe was in the latest issue of atv rider magazine. they had a mx build test with a yfz and trx. there were 2 pipes for the trx and the duncan was one of the pipes. they began with the other pipe, then switched to the duncan. theysoon switched back to the other pipe saying that the duncan "mellowed out" the trx's power too much to race against the yfz.
that's all i've seen for comparison testing with the duncan system
