I have a 06 450r and I ended up wrecking the hrc headpipe. Will I notice a big difference if I get the Rossier over the hrc pipe and stock muffler. I would not like to have to spend the extra money on a rossier if I will not feel the difference over a new hrc pipe.
Thanks.

Buy the Rossier system and re-jet as they reccomend! I put one on my 05r and love it. Best money spent on my 450r ever, really woke it up. Call them up and talk to these guys. You will not be disappointed....(period)

I really like the Rossier Pipe on my 06 450ER. Really liked talking with Joe as well. He doesn't tell you what you want to hear, he tells you the facts.

What are the facts as it relates to the posters original question?

If you have experience with an HRC exhaust and a Rossier then YES, the question is directed towards you. If not I'm looking for someone that does, I would prefer an answer from the sponsor!

Yeah; guess not. Not good business!

the original question is a good one, I was wondering the same thing, I have an 06 with the HRC head pipe and was also wondering if I would gain much if any going to a Rossier exhaust.
spktho
I haven't looked for this specific graph, but try looking at wpp's website, he has a bunch of graphs for different combinations.

I dont know if you would feel much of a diffrence but it would probally show on a dyno. It would sound and look a 100% better though!

I know it would sound better, but should I keep the hrc head pipe and just put a slip on on it, or would I benefit from a full system? I guess what I want to know is how does the hrc head pipe alone compare to aftermarket head pipes?

don't mean to guide you torward another sponsor while you're in this section but Venom has done some testing on these kinds of things. I don't know that he's tested the Rossier, but compared to any aftermarket exhaust (that he's tested) w/ a quiet core, the HRC is more powerful. It has one the the largest headpipes and the muffler doesn't sacrifice much in the way of flow, but does a good job of keeping it quiet, although a little raspy sometimes.

IMO you won't gain much by switching to a full system.

youll probably gain a little bit, but not noticable... nicer looks and sound though right now i have HRC pipe on mine and ive ran friends with the rossi...

I held my curtis sparks headpipe up to my hrc headpipe while they were both off the bike and the sparks one is definitely bigger than the hrc. I'm not saying the hrc isn't a good headpipe, it's a actually a great one and for somebody on a budget the hrc headpipe and a slip on hmf with an average build, pipe intake cam, seat of the pants feel isn't going to change compared to a rossier or any of the others in my opinoin. It probably will in your head cause it'll sound amazing but I've seen guys with this setup smoke guys with dasa so it's really up to rider skill and luck. So unless you have money to burn or want the sound and looks I'd keep doing what your doing. Some of these guys focus entirely to much on dyno results and not actual riding but this is all my opinion lol.

I agree,I have seen guys come to the strip bragging about how much horse they made on a dyno and get smoked by a guy that didnt even know how much hp he was pushin...He just built his bike and said he could care less about what a dyno says....If you were to dyno the same bike on different dynos you would get a different reading from each one any way so really whats the point other than tuning..... I think dyno numbers are overrated....I guarantee there not all exact anyway...All anyone needs to know is that if its fast enough to win or scare the shiznit out of you its all you need....

the hrc pipe is ok, but the ROSSIER is just the best. makes good power and it makes sound requirements for racing

This isn't really the most accurate information......
jimmy450r
I ran hrc kit on my 06, then bought the rossier

the throttle response felt crisper (sp) but overall power didnt feel much different

it does look a million times better, its alot lighter, and the sound is freaking awesome

I sold the hrc header (and the stock header) which off-set some of the cost

the 06+ hrc header is a real performer (alot run it with a slip on and love it)

did I mention it looks better?

.

dylan250r
i would spend the money and buy the rossier it is well worth it and do not regret it one bit
Kip
Hopefully soon ill have dynochart comparisons between a HRC Header/HMF sport series slip on Vs a Full Rossier. Only if the man above lets me borrow his.......

This will be on an 05.

dylan, let him borrow it please!!!

the hrc header is bigger than the sparks header, someone stated it wasn't but I've had both
and have measured them.....the sparks seemed like it had a little more hit on the bottom
and that's all.

I'm running the hrc header and hmf sport slip on and very pleased with it.
