they are having a workday to get the spillway reopened this sat at the spillway. starts at 7am they are meeting in the parking lot. i will find out tomorrow if i am off sat. if i am i will be there. they are asking for volunteers to bring shovels etc.

if i didnt have to work saturday, id come for sure. i know it needs it! it all looks torn up pretty bad from airline, all that water did some serious damage,... Question after the work day when is it going to be open for riding? and is the woods area going to open when it does?

not sure when it will open. probably when it is "safe" for riding.

yea... thats what i was thinking. they'd need an army of people with shovels jus to make a dent.

yes fill all the ruts with shovels.....no foolios. i went the corps had 3 bulldozers go through area 1 and totally grade it. most of the tracks are fixed. it is not smooth as the highway but it is 200% better. with a lil more rain it will break it down and let it settle good. area 1 is scheduled tp open july 19. area 2 not sure they are waiting on a grant for money for a contractor to fix some washed out sections and redo a bridge that got washed out. the shovels were to install new direction signs that got washed out. it wasnt a bad workday i cut alot of the high grass on the sides of the trails. should be alot better than it was

I just found out thart it is actually OPEN NOW!
The gates were open and people were riding a few hours ago.
There will be a large group of us there this Saturday (12th)

We'll be there by 9am for sure...ride until we cant feel our arms and legs (2pm or so)
