Well I got challenged. I know already that my 05 450R (as seen in signature) can smoke a 660 raptor, but how would things look for me against a 700 raptor? just wondering if I should even try?

when my r was stock, the 700 would pass me in 4th and and loose my in 5th. Once I got the HRC kit installed the raptor didn't have a chance. I won every time dragging on pavement.

i don't know about street but for sand i race 700r's all the time all most always win. the hcs2 will help ALOT , also whats done to his bike?, you should be able to beat him

a higher compression piston would help too...

yes yes....a "bigger" higher compression piston with some porting and a 480!

dont wanna run down the reliability tho, might go up to 11 ratio, but no bib bore. his bike has a pipe and jetted. but I am getting a hot cam stage 2 and all the mods in my signature are also included on my bike

Bro get the HC2 and you'll beat him hands down with the other modds that you have. You don't need no big bore to beat a 700. With what you have now and with a HC2 You'll be able to pull on him no prob

is the raptor stock? almost everybody does mods they keep secret

if you have a 05 you need a piston a good pumpgas venom 12.25:1 piston that will not hurt reliability AT ALL IMHO

and a hotcams stg2 and you should be able to beat him

well I am not racing, and dont plan on changing the piston for no reason, so maybe next year I will throw in a 11:1 piston

you will be changing piston for a good reason, more power!! the stock slug inthe 04-05 is more harmful than a 12.25:1 because its so big and heavy lol

and 11:1 would be a waste of time and money IMO

well I will have to go up to premium gas, when right now I am running 87 octane low test. lol, I guess I should run high test gas no matter what.

go with at least 12:1. you'll need to run premium gas. the power will be worth it. so they say!

well higher octane will make it run hotter, and leaner. I have ran regular in my raptor for about a year no trubles. (but maybe thats why I needed new rings) lol. K will go with a 12:1 next year from venom.

don't know about the earlier trx450s but my 08 has a sticker right on the gas tank....premium fuel only! wouldn't want to running around with 87 in it!

Without higher compression or porting, I don't think a cam is going to do it. I raced my friends 700 when mine just had a dasa pipe and hc2 and I got smoked. That "lawn equipment compression" as mixxer likes to call it is a major problem on the 05. The cam will help but you need more compression, bottom line.

LOL, ya I got my 450 with crap A$$ bald stockers on it so I figured best way to get rid of em was to burn em off, that was a 1 min burnout in 3rd gear pinned, It seemesd like a 10min burn when your on the bike!! got some new hloeshots and razers for it now.

Well in the winter rebuild I am gonna get a higher 12:25:1 CP or venom in it, but I am definetly gonna have a cam in it in the next few weeks. and am gonna start going high test, after I get the new piston in it, it will be strictly high test!

I outran a 700. All i have is Pipe and airfilter and hardly any tread. Beat him all the way thro. But mostly in the rider

Higher octane burns cooler!! Also you should run at minimum 92 says right on the manual and there is a sticker on the handlebar plastic. Even 400ex's they say to run at least 92 lol. Dont run crap gas these things are expensive it is worth it it pay 10 cents more a gallon and get 92 lol

If the raptor 700 is stock you should be able to take him no problem
I beat my buddies stock raptor 700I have an 06 450er with full hmf and hrc cam and I pulled right away and kept on going on a back road. Man he was pissed how does a 450 beat a 700 those things are jokes
