Like it says.... I just picked up an 06 Z fo rthe wife and was looking to clear the crap out of the pipe and pull the lid.... anyone have any tips or jetting sugestions? I threw a K&N wth pre charger on it.... Not wanting to make it fast just a little more bottom and a deeper tone.


Any help would be appriciated.

Its about a 150 to 155 main jet. You can get a hole saw bit to open up the end of the exhaust. I recomend a different filter system the stock sucks because it does not seal very good. Fun bikes to ride very smooth power great for the wives. my wife has an 04 and loves it. z400 central has good info also.

Go to www.z400central.com and pm a guy named CATAWAY. He's done just about everything on his own z400 and it's at 41 hp on a stock bore. He will know your questions.

when i had my Z, i took a grinder to the tip on the spark arrester and the belt sanded it to smooth it out... I never got around to putting a jetkit in it because i rode in the water(creek) alot...
