Sandfest Baby!!! Can't swing both so I picked Coos Bay this year since we did Dunefest last year.

But yea I'm in the same boat and figured Id let others flesh it out before I commited

James how much room do you have at sand camp E?? ..........

Steve you have to get a pass and a permit. If you ride down with someone you would just have to get a person pass. He has a site and I have a site.

Chris how do I obtain these permits/passes?

Do you guys have room for 1 pickup and small trailer?
Zach and I are thinking of coming down and we dont have any place to stay.

You have to reserve the site for that area @ 80 bucks then 40 buck per adult. We are in area E.

Easy to make room James will be down eary that week to hold the spots.

Zips we can make something happen im sure. Yes I will have room for you but you might have to park your truck off site and camp with us.

SandFest this year dude. We have room at our spot. Little bit of a commute though. . Site # 68 at Spinreel Camp Ground.

I'm sure it would be a killer time, I'm going to call on Mon. to see if there are any sites still available. If not than maybe we can try and work something out.....nothing better than cool people, beer and drag racing LOL

champ where are you going to stay then? last year we had some college kids pitch a tent next to our trailer since they came out w/o a pass also, they helped by making breakfast every day for the duration

i just tried to reserve camping for dune fest this morning
at about 9:00am and they said they sold out yesterday

so they put me on a waiting list im 2nd in line
so the only way im going is if some one cancel's

New guy here...just bought an '06 TRX 450 last week so I registered here to learn some tricks. We'll be at Dunefest, staying at Discovery Point. This will be my 4th time there...its always a blast!

Ill be at sand camp E. I will be driving my 06 white dodge and 20 foot inclosed trailer. The dodge will have TRX4/off road sticker modified to be TRX450R/off road on it.

ill be in sand camp c finally got a spot last sec

will be driving a pewter lifted gmc diesel with 21ft sierra behind it

black plastics and maroon frame no fenders

I'm trying to make it down as well......

No the last trip was 7/11-13 for sandfest... It was three back to back to back... The ORG run,4th, and Sandfest... Trying to get something lined out for September.... Already have reservations ober Holloween at Honeyman... I waited too late to get something for Labor Day.

I just got back yesterday from Dunefest, it was a pretty damn good time, couldn't complain about the weather, even though it drizzled a couple days. With my bike all broken in and a set of Haulers on it I was able to get a feel for how powerful it really is! We stayed in camp area A, and got let in on Tuesday, so we had a real decent spot down at the end of the road.

All in all a good time, can't complain when I am staying in my Buddies big old weekend warrior! (the one pic I did get with the camera phone after we had left winchester)

Weather was pretty poor on Friday but ended up being real nice on Saturday. The track was very slow, I would say a conservative 3/10ths off of last. There was a slight incline or crown if you will to the track, really did not effect the slower bikes as much as the faster bikes on a safety level. Did not have any play bikes to go hit the dunes so cannot talk much about that. Vendor row was cool and they had what seemed to be a increase of factory support out in camping C, wish I would have had a chance to demo ride the Redline Revolts as they were letting people take them out on a test track. Did not see many 450r racing, heck I am not sure if even one got below a 5.0? Rocket factory had some fast Raptors as usual but they might have had some trouble, couple fast Bombs, Templeton had a fast Raptor on NOS 4.6ish. Really think alot of the fast 4stokes were in the 4.6 area, I did hear of a couple in 4.4 range but they had motor trouble or were hear say.

Overall it was fun time and cool to hang out with people you meet on the boards.

I had a great time at Dunefest! This was my first Dunefest trip and all I can say is I can't wait til next year!

The duning at Winchester is badass but it was rough cause of all the people and rails

I test rode the Revolt single seater and it was actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Only 72hp but I got mine up to 50mph easily and that wasn't even on the flatts. Suspension was pretty good, had a nice ride and seemed to do decent over the whoops but you can't hit them real fast.

IMO $15,000 is a little over priced though. If I was going to spend that much I'd rather built a Hayabusa mini rail LOL

Jamie, I heard cameron was supposed to have had a 450 at the drags but I never did see it, did you?

Also did you see the Oroville Cycle TRX run, how'd it do? I saw it in the camp area but not at the track......

I left Thumper Wars a little earlier than I wanted to becuase I had too much fun the night before and needed some more sleep LMAO

Saying you had too much fun is like saying you had too much sex, just doesnt sound right

Next year will be a blast for sure. We need to find a way to meet up and have some fun

We were parked right next to Cam by the track, he did not bring the YFZ. He ended up leaving Saturday early as had some issues with the bike. I did not recall seeing the Oroville bike, on the flip I think we will be down at Coos parked out at Hauser Rd so I might see you at the hill sometime on Labor Day.

ill see you at boxcar! we make plenty of runs down there to check the racing scene. there is a nice flat 2 dunes north of boxcar that makes for a good drag strip also.
