I called them and said either XC or MX builds. I race XC, and ride lots of woods, but occasionally hit some bigger air. I was wondering what type of valving I should get. I weigh 175ish and was wondering if GT rebilds were more on the softer side. If so I may get them revalved for MX, and they would also suit my XC needs. Give e some insight guys...Thanks

I would go with the xc valving.
since you do more trail riding and I assume your running 20" rear tires?
and they are a bit soft. imo, to get ALL of that travel.
btw, I do recomend raising your airbox.

get them done for xc. But tell them your riding style is agressive. To add 25lbs to the spring weight. I race harescrambles and there are some mx parts on most tracks. When i first got them back man i can fly through the woods like never before, but would constantly bottom out if my jumps wernt perfectly smooth. So if i over shot anything it hurt from bottoming. I ordered up the next size springs and so far am alot happier. I will give them a good test the first race which is on sunday.
