all i can say is it was worth every penny. the fit and finish was perfect, almost like the pipe was custom made for my quad. the plumbing is stainless and the canister has, from what i can tell, a powder coated finish. the mounting points are well placed and all of the bolts ended up right in the middle of what adjustment was there. the can is spark arrested and is repackable.
the sound can get a little rowdy at the top of the revvs but its not nasty like some can get. i bought the quiet core which lowered the sound output considerably(claimed 6db lower than no core). its got a nice deep tone without the core but with the core it takes some of the boom out. sounds good either way. it doesnt have that snap but its more of a thud.
the best part is the power increase. i have no idea what the dyno numbers are but from what i could tell it has wayyyy more low and mid in regards to torque. i did a few just off idle runs to the limiter in second and third and it pulled like a mule. i do a lot of trail riding so this was the ticket for me. the instructions call for a 122 main with the bike stock and just the addition of the exhaust system. my dealer didnt have a 122 so i got a 125. im at sealevel so i figured it would be ok, and it was. i made the mistake of getting a little too far back on the seat in 3rd gear and picked up the front end(one of those scarey events that makes you smile). on the top it rips like a S.O.B. revvs out in a hurry.
good pipe, good gains, good choice.
