Just got back from Glamis and the new 06 TRX450r with the Rossier set-up ran and performed well. I do have a couple of questions for you. I have a Rossier TRX 450r with full pipe, Webcam 943, J.E. 14:1 piston all set to the specs provided by Rossier. I ran VP 110 race fuel.

Firstly, I would like to know an estimate of the life (hours) I can expect to get from the single ring piston assuming a very well maintained bike.

Secondly, I had an issue with the bike stalling on me when it got over 200 deg and then being difficult to start afterwards. I noticed it was idling low and I reset it but it seemed to return to the low idle. I reset the the A/F screw to 1 3/4 turns from 2 1/4 and completely cleaned the carb. These adjustments seemed to help but not completely. I wanted to see if you have heard or experienced anything like this and to see if you had any advice for me.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Check the boot from the carb to the head, make sure its tight and on all the way.

Im going to say check your valves... if the lash is to tight when its cold... then as it heats up the gap between the two contact points get even smaller to the point where the valve stays partially open leaving you with hard startng and poor running conditions...
