Hey guys, well after a minimum of 27000 calculated kilometers 16720 miles for the US folk, I sold the 450r. And she still didn't burn oil!
Now I got an old 250r that I just had to rebuild. Now I dunno if any one knows where I could find a jet chart. I've got a 73mm piston in it which is from L.A Sleeve. which brings her to 295 cc, trinity did some wild porting. Now I just put a piston and gaskets to bring it back to what she was (since the guy that rode it when it blew doesn't know when to let off the throttle) now I'm way too rich on the bottom (I don't even need the choke to start it) and up top it seems good (kinda hard to tell without doing a plug cutaway check, and at 12$ a plug, forget it. Now I will eventually invest in an egt guage, but for the moment I'm broke. Now, I'm getting some noise from the counterbalancer, kind of annoying around idle but goes away at around 2000rpm, and before anyone says it, it's not piston slap.
This question may piss a few people off, but I've got no time to search. Can a 500r motor fit in there without too much fartin around? Is it even worth it? And if anyone can find a dyno chart for a stock one would be nice!
Thanks in advance guys!!!

cr500 = broke frame... no counter balancer...
295 in stock cylinder = not enough cooling capacity you have to run it so rich to not seize the piston or run alot of clearance and the it wears on the cylinder exhaust port area
i've been there had that problem. looking for a big cylinder, but wanna do the 450 first
hope that helps

Well I am rich, actually fairly rich in oil as well, but I don't have plug fouling problems. So if the cr or quadzilla engine would fit, but frame strengthening is in the works? Now that made my day! :)
Now I just gotta find a suzuki dealer to get some parts. Unless anyone can tell me if the ball joints on the 250r honda and the 250r suzy are the same (which I doubt).
Thanks again guys!

I've had the same problem with a DT125. It had a knocking sound when on idle but would stop when it was reved. Turns out it was the woodruff key(the square pin that locks the gear on the shaft) on the balancer that was worn out.
Check it out! That might be your problem.
The CR500 engine vibrates alot and cracks frames because there is no counter balancer in the motor. The quadzilla engine has a balancer(I think) so it shouldn't crack the frame from vibration. Not sure how easy a swap is though.
