This all started as a joke, I was just trying to get back in with all y'all by cuttin up a little bit. I never thought it would turn into what this has become. Alot of you, the members thought it would be cool to donate your spare parts so we could try and piece a whole 450r together. Obviously I got on board with it and even threw out some ideas about maybe it being a site project or something. Everybody could personalize their parts, so in the end it could be a crazy looking project that everybody had their hands in. Really thats the only way I would be able to except any of your parts. I just wouldnt feel right unless you guys left your mark. I am going to be taking pics of the build and giving credit where credit is due, meaning I'll pose(yes pose) with your part letting everybody know who this part came from. With that said, I am going to put a list of parts up so we can mark off what parts have been recieved and parts needed.

There's a few that come to mind like sprockets, chain, bumper, grab bar, clutch perch/levers and other small parts that will pop up as you build the list.

As I stated in the other thread, I have parts like the full exhaust, tie rods, chain, front tires and more. However, one of the last membors that replied to that post had a TON of stuff that he offered. It would make shipping cheaper for you if you got a bunch of parts at once. I suggest you contact him to see what he will send. That would knock the list way down.

Either way, I will keep an eye on what you need and offer what I can. If you want any of the above they are yours...

i got some red plastic of my 04 racebike, its in pretty bad shape, no breaks or cracks, stress marks and alot of scratches tho, front fenders are shaved too.

i have 05 black plastic.. cut front fenders... epoxyed white a arms and tierods.. trails tech 1 1/8 X bars no clamp for the big bars.. but do have the stock handle bar clamps...
i guess maybe we should post some pics so you can decide which stuff you like the best you have to pick from.. i will get all my stuff together today and snap a couple pics..

i have the stock wheels and tires off my 07. 1 ride on them. 07 headpipe and muff with hrc tip. 0 rides. bars,clamp and dash.

What year do you want to base your build on? I see alot of o5 parts just wondering what your looking at and what your thinking? I know alot of the parts are interchangeable but motor, suspension, ect...

not the greatest thing but I think I have some stock a-arms I can donate. maybe a few other things but not sure.

No, but I might, At my dealership theres a big bullitin about a big parts auction/ police auction saying that they are going to part out full bikes among numerious other things. I could go and see if I can get it cheap. Its not for a few weeks, but I can look into it.

Hey guys i dont realy have any parts to give all my stuff is 06-07. But i can paint the frenders any color you would like, also i can do some powdercoating for the smaller parts, "no frames, my oven is not that big.... YET"

maybe we can make a frame and fit a KTM525 engine in it or a CR500 engine

i have a bumper and front brake lines i can donate and a slightly bent but restraightened stem with pro taper SE high bars.

I dont know, he sent me a message not to long ago saying he he recived the coupons for shipping and he said thanks and that was that.

I have had quite a few parts sitting around for him , but have not gotten any word.

i can also give u a stock tank. though it has a few 2 inch diameter holes in it i think you would have problems holding gas in it though

What ever happened with this? I think we should all give it another shot and really get one built this time... we could raffle/auction it off after its built and raise some money for the org. Everyone wins... we all get the spare stock parts out of our garages, someone gets a good deal on a bike, and the org gets the profit. What do you guys all say?

Or we could auction it off and give the money to a Charitable organization, or just a organization that's it into keeping riding area's open for us, wether its to help keep Area's clean or what ever.. you know give back to the sport we all love

Hmm!.... I remember how excited this guy was to get all these parts donated so he could start the build. That didn't last too long.

crap! i should of never bought a new bike.. we could of just made me one.. lol i hope he gets all the parts tho i would like to hear how it goes n maybe some pics of the project

Ive got a motor, frame, axle, swinger, shocks, a-arms, tires and wheels, some plastics, lock nut, stem, bars, bumper, hubs, brake lines, seat cover, grab bar, sprockets, skid plates, just missing some wires, gast tank, carb nuts and bolts and misc little things. They way it sits it could be made into a drag bike, considering the motor I have has a mild build already.(Kenz Head, 13.1 piston, and HC2) Then who needs plastics right? Plus I have the bill of sale for the frame and its in my name, sounds like this could be alot easier.


I think you guys should donate it to the brokeback foundation, so I can sell it and pay some hospital bills!

What you guys say? And if you live in a city that has a Greyhound Bus Station all the misc parts can be shipped to me @ no charge to you.

Count me out on it, Ive done built a bike out of all my left over parts. I tried to get a little help, but I ended up just buying a swingarm and a few odds and ends and its pretty much done for a dune/drage bike. I'd like to get it PC'd but just ran out of time.

lets do it for the troops. auction it later for TBI research for the injured soldiers. i will throw down on any parts i have left over. please let me know as iam a injured soldier and know how much help they could really use
