Rico450R
I’ve had the FleXX handlebars for about six months now and I can
say they are by far the best handlebars I’ve ever had.
Fasst Company has taken the conventional handlebar design to the next level. The FleXX System provides the most comfortable ride possible and virtually eliminates vibration. No other handlebar on the market can provide its user with the benefits, that the FleXX System can.
The FleXX Handlebar System appears much different compared to any other handlebar. Its unique design incorporates moving and inter-changeable components that allow the rider to tailor the bar to his/her own preference. Choose from soft, medium or hard elastomers and set your ride height to your liking.
The FleXX Handlebar System will provide you with a handlebar that is unmatched in today's handlebar market. The FleXX System will take your riding experience to the next level...
FleXX Handlebar System, THE REVOLUTION IS HERE.
Here's the quick overview:
Adjustable rise; customize your bar bend to fit you.
Full size bike handlebars are 32” wide.
Mini bike (50's,65's,80's) handlebar is 29" wide.
Quad handlebar is 31" wide.
They have 14 degree and 12 degree sweeps.
14 degree is close to a stock Yamaha, and stock 2003 Honda bend.
12 degree is slightly less sweep than the 14 degree bar.
Interchangeable elastomers to fit your riding style (soft, med, hard and stiff). All bars are shipped with medium, hard and stiff except mini's; they ship with soft, medium and hard.
Absorbs most vibration!
Ride longer and harder.
Reduce arm pump and hand fatigue.
Braking bumps and hard landings become less of an issue.

All this for $299.99, with a 30 day money back guaranty. :D

I also cut the little throttle piece, then i painted the cut part black for a clean finish.

Hey Rico, would you even recommend these bars to people who dont do alot of jumping yet bumpy rides? Because the prices is a little high for the average joe.

Yes, I feel anyone that wants a better handlebar with less vibration will benifit from it. IMO! :D

i just wanted to add that i let my friend barrow my flexx bars for his last mid south harescramble race. he races quad b and is leading his class in points. i talked to him the other day and he said im not getting my flexx bars back, and i can have his tag's, lol.

What you all running medium setting??
WhiteZee
i put the yellow ones on, they are the soft ones. the red ones are the med. and i just done see how they would make any diff, they are hard as hell.

Actually, the red is the hardest, the yellow is medium hard, the white is medium soft and there's a blue that is soft. In all the mag's I've read they like the red, but I think they're to hard. I use the yellow with the little washer on the inside. It seems just right for all conditions.. :D

I've heard that the company is working hard to get the price of the bars down to a more reasonable amount. All the ones available right now are pretty much hand made. Supposedly once they get the jigs and everything set up the price will drop.

I know i won't be getting a $300 set of handlebars any time soon, i wreck way to much to tear up a set of those.

the nice thing about them is they come apart. there are 5 different pieces to them, so if you break something, you can buy a single part and replace it. so if you think about it, if you wreck a lot, getting these could save you money in the long run.

on another note, i went over to my friends house today, and he said hes getting a set of them as soon as he gets the money.(he had to buy a $700 leager swingarm today.)

ill post pics in a little while.

im not having a good day with posting pics.... it wont let me attach from my HD, and it wont let me link it from my site. wtf.

Peerless
I bought them, installed them, rode with them. It's a gimmick. Yes, it's a little better, maybe, but definitely not worth the $300. The way the bars are made, the shock absorbing part of them only works when you push the bars straight up and down. In other words, you will only feel the flex when landing from a big jump and you body is positioned over the bars. IMO, not worth it. If you have money to burn, fine, but I would buy the Precision Racing stabilizer before anything else, now there is a nice piece of equipment.

Sorry to hear that bud. You are the very first person to say that. I have pointed about 10 different people towards these bars and everyone loved them. I guess not everyone will like them. Myself I wouldn't want another pair of bars. thumbsup.gif
You should do a test and ride with them for 2 months to make sure you get used to them. Then go back to the bars you were using before and see if you notice anything. BTW - What bushings are you using? I like the yellow, the red is way to stiff for me. Good luck man biggrin.gif

I just got mine installed today biggrin.gif I didn't have very long to ride, but it didn't take long ooh4.gif ooh4.gif At my age, and with the aches and pains that riding causes, Flexx bars are hands down the most notable and best change that I have made to my quad. thumbsup.gif

I'm pretty sure it's the 14. But call flexx and tell them you want the ATV bend. That's what I did! biggrin.gif
If I remember I'll look at my bars to see what bend I have thumbsup.gif

I've been running them for about 4 or 5 months. NO WAY IN HELL would I go back to regular, old school bars. If I want something to compare it to, I have another 450r with regular bars, and talk about vibration and just beat you to death. If they're not working right or your not over the bars enough, twist them back a little. I know, in a race, I'm right over them bad boys and need every bit of help they can give.

I've gone from the yellow to the red to the yellow and now I'm back at the red. I like the yellow a little bit better, but I seem to bottom them out some and hits the metal stop. The red doesn't bottom, but for general riding or high speed smoother stuff, they're too stiff. I should put yellow in for gen. riding and reds in to race, maybe.

Anyways, I do not know how someone couldn't like them. Sure 3 bills is steep, but unless your a once or twice a month weekend warrior, there's huge benefits. I've nosed a few pretty big doubles, not on purpose, just playing with the throttle and stuff. I barely noticed the slam to the wrists, but with standard bars, it would've hurt some for sure.

Well worth the money. wink.gif

You can get the ATV in 12 degree or 14 degree sweep. It is stamped on the bars. I was told that taller people tend to prefer the 12 degree.

I actually bought my bars from them at their shop. Those guys at FASST are top notch. The owner / founder showed me around gave me some extra stuff and gave me the scoop on how he got the company up. Super nice guy. Thats the kind of place I will spend 275 at no problem.

Bottom line = great customer service + great product.

Im with peerless, i can tell no difference in my fasst bars from the pro taper contours i had previously...now i do have the red bushings in mine so that does make them stiffer, but i think a steering dampner is a far better choice for what you pay....i DID get my fasst bars for $150 shipped tho so i didnt get burnt up like alot of you guys on here....

Can I get your email address?

That way I can paypal you my money directly instead of getting "burnt" like all the rest of the guys here.

FYI, I noticed a distinct difference between stock and aftermarket bars and FLEXX bars. I love em. In fact Ill buy your set from you. How much?
jkrie00
I have to agree. I have stock everything right now and have been seeing these bars. Now that I have seen them on a couple of quads there is no doubt I will have a set soon. I just like the look. Plus I am an old guy who could use some extra comfort of the flex. thanks guys for the pics!!!!
