#1 Take that skid plate off BEFORE you do anything else. I got to the point where I could slide the brake rotor off and OOPS, that skid plate was in the way. It's much easier to do when your quad still has rear wheels!
#2 Loosen the axle lock nut before you lift the quad up. It will help if you have someone to hold the brake also. I could have sworn that my nut was welded on, I ended up having to use a torch to heat the sucker up and I still nearly had to jump on my wrench to get it off! I buggered the outside of the nut up a bit but I got it off. I will only put MILD locktite on the thing when I reassemble. To remove this nut, loosen the thing nut that is closest to the swing arm by rotating it COUNTER- CLOCKWISE meaning, if you are at the rear of the quad facing the axle you will put your wrench on the nut and push down. After the thin nut has been rotated a few turns, loosen the larger nut in the same direction. Remember, this thing can be a pain to get loose. Rotate the larger nut enough to reveal the retaining ring below it on the axle. See pics below

Before you can slide the retaining ring and lock nut assembly you need to remove your right rear hub. Just pull the cotter pin and remove the nut.

slide off the ring and the lock nut assembly

now remove the 4 swing arm bolts that you loosen when adjusting chain tension

loosen the chain then slide the axle to the left. take the chain of the sprocket then slide the axle out.

You will notice there is another snap ring holding the brake caliper mount bracket in place. Remove it. You will notive that it is marked as to which side needs to face out when reassembling.

Remember to keep an eye on o-rings and where they go

slide out the bearing assembly for cleaning and lubrication. It seems that they are trying to conserve grease at the factory so do yourself a favor and use lotsa lube

Good Luck! :D
