I just put on my DMC alien exhaust last wee. I got the full header and exhaust for an extremely low price and I thought I'd try it. The reason I wanted it was because my friends ride 400ex's and one has the alien full system and the other has a white bro's full system, besides that they are jetted the same and have the same filters. The 400ex with the alien seems to win by 1 to 2 bike lengths every time they race.(no matter the rider) So I decided to put the alien on my 450r. After the initial shock of the level of noise I couldn't help but fall in love with the deep grumble my bike gave off like it had a hemi in it or something. After rejetting to 185 main, then 180 main, and moving the stock needle to the 4th clip, I am amazed at what happened. My bike won't stay on the ground! My only hope is to ride on some seriously slippery turf to keep from wheelying, but my back tires break lose on every shift, even when i try not to. On pavement the bike will go on two wheels easily even in 3rd gear. i don't have an aftermarket cam, and this is my only mod next to the rejet. I don't know how everyone here feels about the alien, but I'm sure excited to get out and ride again. I'll probably be switching to a 15 tooth front gear, to help keep my front tires on the turf. If anyone else has tried an alien, let me know. :D

I really liked the Alien on my 400ex too! It gave it a deep rumble and I thought it sounded better than any pipe that my friends had. It also seemed to have more power than my friends quads, but I'm guessing because of the dual pipe. It aload the 400ex to breath better.. The only compliant I had is it seemed to fall apart after about 2 years. wink.gif

The welds on the shield broke with in one month of each other!! And I keep losing the little screws that held the spark arrester on. I hope you have better luck than I did. Now I run a Pro Circuit Titanium slip-on and I love!! It also gave me that deep sound that the Alien gave my 400ex!! :D

I had the DMC Dual on my 440EX and I swear it was the best pipe you could buy at the time. It's way louder than the rest of them and definately put out some good power. If they made one that didn't have the alien style (smaller lower hole) I would like one for my 450R.

I had one on my 450 back in the day and wasnt much of a fan comapared to my rossier, overly loud and not much of a hp gain;.... i think the rossier, dasa, rage pipes etc are better then the alien for the trx

most definately. The DMC makes awesome sound imo but not the best in the performance dept
