I just got a quiet core for my DASA...put it in today and forgot to take a video! Oh well...I'll try and get it next weekend.

does removing the spark arrestor do anything performance wise?

I found this thread by mistake but think its great. Lot's of work went into this by Ghott and am wondering if one of the mods can pin it.

We could then keep adding onto it and not let it go to waste.

wow. yea ima have to say that venom sounds amazing. if anyone wants to get me a present u know what to get me,

u do all realize the sound in the videos is not at al what it sounds like in real life so i dont see how u can go off of just a video that is low quality.

if it was a dvd quality video then the sound would be a lot more realistic to real life.

IMO you can judge fairly well how an exhaust sounds mainly b/c I hear mine in a sound clip then I can compare it to a pipe such as sparks The same can be said for someone who listens to their stock exhaust then to a DASA which clearly has a much deeper growl and louder howl on the top end....

these vids give a pretty damn good idea of what the exhaust tone is.
otherwise why do we even have this thread to begin with?
if they all sounded like sh!t then we wouldn't have compiled it.
i have heard a dasa like 2 feet from me while racing and ghotts vids sound pretty damn close.
even though the quality isn't there, the video does not change the tone of the sound in which it is recording!
i have heard every exhaust on the market, when you drag race against 30 people which not one had the same exhaust, you get a good feel of whats out there.

i just dont like the dasa or the way it sounds lol, i know of 2 450rs i ride with and 1 ltr that have the dasa and i just dont like them the sound just isnt there for me and powerwise we all knw that dasa is on the same level as venom and rossier they are all so so close in power

Yeah, the sierra club is the group of nerdy greenies that got a lot of the imperial sand dunes (glamis) closed down due to an endangered weed. Yes, I said weed. It's called the milk vetch weed and in their pictures, it shows a nice little bush with nice little flowers. When is the last time anyone saw a damn flower at glamis?

i saw a lot of them in my race last weekend. i also made sure to run some of them over thinking of the sierra club

it was alright seeing all those flowers and greenery out there. but what the hell, who cares no one lives there.

Cool thread ghott. I've been in Arizona for the last three days and haven't been on. I'll sticky it and you keep updating the first thread. I'll see if I can get a sound clip of my Ron Wood inframe and the Venom I have here... both on the same 480 quad..... it's just not running yet, have to install the head and finish up but maybe today or tomorrow.
