Are you guys swinger's more set up for woods racing or MX.......or are they good for both?

thanks........is the weight allot more than a stock swinger

Our swingarm is built to any length. The linkage mounting position is in the stock location, so as to use any shock manufactures many different linkage set ups. mx. xc, etc..
They are made of 4130 chromoly steel,[which is physically heavier than aluminum]. So yes, they do tend to be a little heavier than stock.[about 3 lbs more] but thats the trade off to getting a swing arm built to the length you need, and to have at least twice the strength. If anyone is telling you that there aftermarket swingarm is lighter than stock, and is mx or xc worthy is "blowing smoke". They would only be good for duning or drag racing.

This is JD swing arm I was looking at. - I was unsure if its a good MX swing arm, I assumed it would weigh a touch more........I just dont kno wmuch about the "JD Performance" products. I have never run them, they looks nice but I want a good MX swinger.

I assume you meant if a person bulit a lighter than stock swing arm, they couldnt hold up to the abuse of XC or MX riding.

Yes, you were correct in your last sentence. As for a -1 on a 450r for mx, sounds a little short, unless you are really really light. 04/05 +1.25" 06/07 std length is fine

As for credibility, I can assure you that the products that I build are of the highest quality, and you can ask anyone here who has any of my stuff.

My products are as high quality as the "SUPER BIG NAMES" if not superior than some of them in workmanship. Since we are on this topic, I'll take this time to clear some stuff up. Every week I recieve numerous calls from people, asking if I am the guy that worked at Laegers. The answer is Yes, I started working there in 1992, and was there chassis [frame] builder. Throughout the 90s and early 00s, I built all of the 250r frames for all of the pros. Tim Farr, Kory Ellis, Doug Eichner, Shane Hitt, Joe Bird, Jeremy Schell, and countless others.

In 1999, I started my own A/arm buisness on the side, [ That Laegers actually helped me out with by giving me deals on materials] mostly to local people who could not wait the 3-6 months to get a set from the "BIG 3". I continued to work for Laegers untill 2002, and had to leave because my buisness was booming, and it was one or the other. So here I am today. I dont really want to be one of the GIANTS in the buisness. [too many headaches]. Keep it small, with the best quality and customer service, and price. I still do all of the welding and assembly of all of my products to assure the best quality possible. I have seen alot of co's come and go, building cheap stuff at a cheap price. But when it come time for replacement parts such as ball joints, bushings, tie rods, etc only to find that the co does not exist any more. So be carefull when buying a $400 set of arms.

Anyways, I gotta get ta welding

Have a merry xmas everyone

No problem, I was not offended at all. I just thougt that it was a good time to inform everyone on all that. I get tons of calls from
people who call me up to just ask those questions. I'm spending too much time explaining it to everyone "one at a time" So posting
it here, might allow me more time to build , and answer more serius questions people may have.

The swing arm is a work of art if i might say, but will a skid plate mount to it. also do you give deals to those who buy the a-arms and swing arm?
double d
Yes, the swingarm comes with skid plate mnts or chain guide mnts. Or if you want both, its $20 more. As for a swingarm/a arm combo, there is a 10% discount.

The large company name is one thing, being good enough to work for a company at that staff level is an entirely different story. That says something about the individual. thumbsup.gif I can't wait to see my a arms!
