I recently purchased the Ikat, previously called the Icat and I have not yet installed, has anyone ran this or heard positive or negative comments?

I hate to say it, but you should return it before you open it up... It's right up there with the Power Now as far as a waste of money... Sorry to hear you already bought one...

From what I have read, it is simply a tube with a gap that the spark has to jump across. That's it. It won't improve squat.

If you want to find things that actually improve performance, read the build of the members here on this site. For the money, a cam will be the best bang for the buck you can make...

I would definitely agree on getting a cam before the i-cat, but I did notice a difference in throttle response and so did my brother-in-laws. My bike was stock prior to installing it. Now I have a stage 2 hot cam and a -4 trail tech flywheel.

the biggest problem with those is over useing the coil. they will heat up more becouse it takes more juice to get across both gaps at the same time. and i cant really see how that will inprove performance any more than just buying a hotter plug. and i get the plug is cheaper.. but who knows i could be wrong

I just wanted to add to something that I said previously. Not only throttle, but it does seem as if the jetting is right on. I know I was damn close prior but know it's noticeably snappier. I can understand people second guessing things, but how can you second guess something you haven't experienced yourself. We all buy something that sucks sooner or later. It's just a matter of giving something a legitimate shot before throwing it out. It might work for me, and not for you. That's why we're all consumers.
