We went to Brown's Camp today and rode hard for 4 hours straight. There's still some snow up there. I'm still pretty new there and learning my way around. We hit every trail we could find. Some are closed for winter. Didn't go on the "powerline" We rode "Blockbuster" "Mark" "Military" "Sidewinder" "Quary" and I think thats it. Still trying to find some other trails there. I know there's more. Going back tommorow.

Ok heres a good lil trail, thats a bit out there tho....When ya come to the lil 3way fork, thats near the rock quarry, head down the road that passes the quarry (quarry will be on yer left) I believe the road is university Falls.....follow that for a few miles, to the left is a trail (cant remember the name off the top of my head) take that trail, then it will come to a road, then the trail continues, take that....then you will get onto another road take a right after the trail dumps ya on the road (very muddy new logging road) it will split into a Y shortly after the trail, stay to the left....then about 500ft down it, will be another trail, thats Cedar tree....its a wide truck trail, and VERY fun!! has some lil jumps going up it, and it gets rocky towards the end, but its an awesome trail!! and pretty long!

Hopefully the weather will be good, I wanna hit up sand lake, with all the rain we have had the bowls should be nice and steep....with my new suspension, I wanna jump down em and see how far I can drop!! And it not being a weekend we'll be able to FLY through the trails (and not risk our lives)

Looks like I wont be going out this week.

Riding in the cold, wet, melting snow finally got the best of me. I'm sick as a dog.

But at least I had fun doing it.

Headed out to Browns today. Kinda figured there would be snow up there. And there was. But the trails were very ridable. And someone cleared all the downed trees from the storm in December that were blocking trails.

I rode til dark. I think I will go back in the morning.

I know exactly where your talking about. I found that trail the other day. I cant remember the name either. Also found the Cedar tree trail, and some parts of The Powerline trail I had never seen before.

A couple more trails opened back up at Browns. Clydes Trail, and a One way off Clydes Trail. Also a new section of Univerity Firepower off The Powerline. They have been working on several other trails too doing maintnance. A lotta jumps. Too bad I cant find any other ORG members to ride out there. Be kinda cool to ride with someone I dont have to keep stopping and waiting for them.

Poker run was a huge disapointment. One flier said Jordon Creek, internet said Browns Camp. Neither gave a specific time. I was 15 min late. Didnt get to ride. Bull$hit. Not to mention, they were not the most friendly group I've encountered, and were less than helpful about giving out any info.

More new trails at Browns Camp. "Island Trail" is brand new. Pretty cool. Gonna be a challenge in the winter though. "Firebreak 5" is open again with new parts added, allthough its really more of a 4x4 trail. Still waiting on the "Sidewinder" to open back up again.

The riding is good at Browns Camp again. The dust is finally gone. Its back to mud and water. Just how I love it. They came through and cleared out all the downed trees blocking trails from the storm we had a couple weeks ago. "Gummy Worm" trail is finally re-opened. So is "Island Trail" "Black Water" and "Side Winder". I need to go back and ride Lyda Camp again so I can hit "Hogs Back" "Hood Raiser" "Log Jam" and "Archers Firebreak" if the snow isnt too deep up there yet. Id also like to hit Jordon Creek again too.

The easiest way would be to just take I-5 to 217 to 26 then merge onto Hwy 6 towards Tillamook just before you come to Banks. Follow Hwy 6 to mile marker 33 on top of the summit and it will be on the left. Probably about an hour and a half from Salem. Or you can take the back roads to Forest Grove and head out of town on Gales Creek Hwy til you get to Hwy 6.

That sounds good. I'll talk with my friends. Maybe during the week go mess around up at Gunner's Lake.
For some reason I didn't realize you're just over the mt and river. There are no bridge s between Longview and Portland, are there?
