Forgive my ignorance....If I put an HRC full kit on my 06' 450ER how much louder than stock will it be?

I don't know what dB rating it would be but I can tell you it seems quieter than most aftermarket silencers I've heard. I'd say it's between stock and aftermarket. The nice thing is that if you ride somewhere where they are real picky about the noise, you can just put the stock insert back in real quick.

yea i dont know the stats on it but if I run the exhaust all cleared out with no spark arrestor it will make some noise. By the way I was very impressed with the power gains especially since I got my entire kit for 230$ new, and installed it myself

it is a bit louder than stock. not even close to an aftermarket pipe though. awesome upgrade for the 06, tho. heres a few videos of mine with the HRC pipe and ill throw one or two in with my ESR exhaust, too.

Nice videos. When you installed your hrc kit. What did you do with the airbox lid?
I bought a used 06 model with the hrc kit and. the bike came without a lid.

The HRC kit for the 06+ requires you to leave the lid removed. It is unclear in the factory directions about leaving the lid off, but when I first installed the kit, the bike ran like crap after 1/2 throttle and I removed the lid and it ran like a champ.
