i have always told my self that i did not need a pipe on my z400 .but when i found one on e bay for a price i could not turn down ,i went for it , its amazing what a pipe will do. and the power that a z400 is capable of.
and I'm just beginning to experience what it will do .
heres how I've got it set up
stock carb w/ dyna jet needle 3rd grove
165 main jet ,
stock pilot #25
air screw out 2.5
UNI air filter with pre charger
open air box
rev box +1000
full Yoshimura RS-3 Complete Exhaust Pipe
razer 2 tires
1500 lb winch, very handy thing to have
Hp was measured on a dyno-max 2000 "pro"
at 7000 rpm it showed 30.80 hp at the rear wheel and a high torque of 25.65 @ 5900 rpm
rummer has it that this type of dyno shows a lower hp than an other kind of dyno but i dont know that to be true
dont know the top speed, for got to ask

I recently did some work to my sons Z400 (In Signature). I was also amazed at what just a few add-ons would do for this machine. Now when we go to Glamis, I don't mind switching machines on our rides. Next year, I plan on installing a new intake cam or maybe both cams??
