i just bought a new r450 and i wanted to get some opinions. I dont race im just a rec rider and where i ride i see quite a bit of water. Does anyone think i will have a prob burying the ecu in some water. I understand that it i could go thru puddles and what not. Im just worried about crossing streams. The streams wont reach the airbox but my comp would be fully submerged if i crossed. So what do you guys think? banghead.gif

I'd think you'd be alright unless you decide to park it in the stream with wires and plug-ins completely unshielded and uncovered to go for a swim.

try going to osh or something, and buy some spray on tar, used to seal up plant splicing air tight. spray that on there.. your good to go.

A riding buddy has a new ltr450 with a few boltons/efi tuning. He has watercrossed it a couple times without any problems. Can't say whether or not itll withstand when you decide to go diving...but im sure 'zuk thought of that.

Almost all modern ATV's use waterproof AMP connectors. And the LTR is one of them. Just don't submerge the air box and you should be fine.
