my buddy has a z400, and he heard bout this on a different forum. he wasn't sure bout the details or if it is even correct. anybody out there heard about any problems concerning this?
Is it someone changing their antifreeze and not using the right kind, or is the factory issuing a revised recall notice to start using something else? Don't have any idea, but would appreciate any feedback.

It comes with the wrong fluid from the factory. I would at least pull the clutch cover and check, a gasket is cheap a fried motor isn't.

the cover is magnesium and the water in the antifreeze has a terrible reaction with magnesium and make it corrode, so you need to run a antifreeze that doesn't have water in it, the kind i ran in my cannondale for this problem is called evans coolant do a search its easy to find on the net.

I carry the FIX for this problem... it is EVANS NPG-R Coolant.... i have it in stock and it is what i run in my quads and many of my customers quads... It is what Steph Parton and William Yokely had to run in their Z400s to keep them from doing the same thing....
Send me a PM if you are interested.... im still trying to keep them at $30 a gallon shipped but i think the price might go up here to $32-$34 shipped per gallon due to shipping cost increases....
