I just bought a '92 Trailboss 250, and am trying to figure out the 4x4 setup. Right now, the out rear and inner front sprockets are gone so I have no middle and front chain. My "on demand" 4x4 switch is trash, and I have no ideal what the single button on the left side of the handle bars is for. Some random or maybe just dumb questions I have..

I was going to replace the broken 4x4 switch with a toggle setup for now, but there are 4 wires coming out of it. Is there supposed to be an indicator light when the front wheels are engaged?

Any ideal what size the stock carb was?

Is there supposed to be to brake handles, or better yet a brake handle for the rears? Right now I've only got the fronts to work with.

I'll try and get some photo's tomarrow and hopefully have some more detailed questions. smile.gif

Thanks for the info! I ended up pulling the plastics and sorting out most the things I needed to know. I'd never rode an On-Demand Polaris before, so I wasn't sure how the magnetic hubs worked. For some reason I've got to pull pretty hard to lock of the rear brakes with the handle. I like it this way though, because the footbrake controls the rears, and I can "normal" fronts. smile.gif I read somewhere that the button is for an over ride that lets you over rev in reverse, but I've yet to need it. So far, I like the 4x4.
