OK,
These things are everywhere You would think they are the best. Guess what, they're not. It took me 2 hours to install them. I had to check the box and make sure they were for a 450R, thats how far off they were. Everything had to be bent, reamed and bent again. The bolts they give you are not long enough if you have nerfs. Once done, I guess they look great and work great, but the install, man, talk about a pain.

Well, I have them also, and I did not have a single problem installing mine, nor have I had a problem since!

Great product if you ask me! Sure as hell beats a broken femur! 11doh1.gif

I have the same set up with the pro armor nerfs and never had a problem. As a parts salesman i haven't seen a better set up if your looking to get the best!!!

good info... i am looking for some new heal gaurds, the stock ones suck.. 2 weeks ago i was hitting some jumps at the dunes and from me allways leaning back aginst them with my boots they kind of got bent back alittle.. well they hooked my paddle and bent down around and it grabed my boot and drug my leg back under the tire.. good thing i had my boots on, it would have broke my leg...it did rip some mucles in my knee.. took about 15 min for the wife and kid to get my leg back out.. so no riding for the last couple weeks.. knee still to sore... plus i need some heel gaurds first.. i cant take that happening agin... OUCH.. i have some white bro nerfs.. and now am looking for some new heel gaurds

I had serveral different paris of heal guards on different quads that I have owend and all in one heel guards too w/foot pegs and nerfs. The IMS is differently the most expensive and was some what of a pain to put on. BUT, after installing them and finally bending them into shape I can proudly say they are THE BEST!!! post-696-1105671348.gif
I've had them for three years now on two different quads. A 04 450R and now my 06 450ER and they have held up to a beaten. Also they have NEVER come lose where the others have raddled, come lose and even brake during a ride. I would never buy anything else when it comes to under my feet because of the great luck I've had with this product. They're stronger and sturdier as hell and can take a beaten. In my book worth every penny. Not to mention they look great on my Honda biggrin.gif

The IMS heal guards i got were crap. not even close to fitting. I am lucky enough to shop at a place where the owner is a cool guy and hooked me up with pro armor heal guard nerf bar set when i returned the IMS junk and didn't charge me any extra.
