now i don't have to see that wooden ramp thing every time i scroll by the freestyle section. does anyone on this site do any freestyle? i bust out a heel clicker now and then but it's tough to fide a good jump for tricks. i do have a hip jump for doing whips on, it's fun.

im trying to learn how to jump myself.

Well, i started a couple of months ago and just now doing a "almost heal clicker". I am getting my feet over the bars but haven't touched them yet. How hard is the whip? I would like to learn more if anyone has any tips.
I am also taking my right foot and bringing it back behind me over my seat. I am not sure what that is called. I barely get it over the seat right now. I am also doing a no hand on my left hand and that is a little scary. Any others I should work? and what is next?

i think whiping is easy but i can't bring it back strait, so i do best on a hip jump (landing angles away from take off ramp). one leg behind is a nac nac, i'm about the same as you i can't get much past the half way point. i can take both hands and feet off in the air and no hander landers but it all takes the right jump. i'm going to build a ramp one of these days, then i can work on some real tricks. i've only been riding for a little over a year so right now i'm still very happy to just go do some big dune jumps.

man, you are taking feet and hands off at the same time? You are way past me. I take off my non-throttle hand and that is bad enough. The no feet is pretty easy now but I haven't tried the no feet/no hand. I guess i will do a no feet and 1 hand first. I also haven't done a no hand lander yet. That has to be freakin scary!!!

try a no hander lander on a smooth jump with a good downslope. just grip with your legs and do it. it's scary but it'll work, if not you'll fall off, he he he

Yeah, I guess my geography sucks and initials for state must be worse. I tried the no hand lander this weekend and made it kinda. I had my hands on just before I hit and took them off for about 1/100,000,000 of a sec . Just kidding. I took them off for at least 1 second hehe. It scared the crap out of me and it was my last jump of the day. I will prob do more later.

Hondaracer305, you are freakin my idol . I just don't know if my 35 yo body will take too many of those kinda tricks. Where do you guys perform at?

Hey, I just got on Google earth and it showed it north east of Dallas. That would be about 7 hours for me. I have some friends that live up there and maybe i can come up and still see it. I hope, it said on the site ( http://www.quadzombiemx.com/images/august-flyer.jpg ) that it was going to have the first TX quad back flip!!!! That is nuts. Oh well, thanks for all of the info.

I guess they have shrunk a little (although I hate to admit it). I talked with the boss (wife) and I think me and a couple of friends are coming up there. Can't wait.

Does anyone on the west coast (California) ride freestyle? It seems all the good quad riders are east coast, and Dirt bikes are westcoast. But my buddy and have been riding with some bike guys that rip and you can learn alot of poop from bikes that you might not think to try(bunny hopping).
