They're pretty damn quick, but I rape it in the turn as well as the air.

on pavement i'll eat it alive in the first 3 gears, after that i'm done for.

on dirt it's just a matter of who launches better.

pretty even though.

I raced a raptor 700 on pavement from a dead stop on my 06 HRC 450er and pulled about 10 quad lengths on him before I let off. Im sure the driver has a huge affect on how each machine performs. IMO, raptors are junk. Just horribly designed and not worth their price.

Good Vid tho

I would say do not under estimate a Raptor, and I am not saying to love them. It just has to have a rider that knows his machine and you can have a great match. Now it also depends on the kind of riding you are talking about.

Very true. Also heard that with these you must shift gears a bit quicker and they will rip.

My buddy put a pipe and a chip on his and it was like a totally different bike. Out of the crate I wasn't real Impressed with his Raptor but with a couple of mods it ran pretty good. I"ll still take my honda over a Raptor any day of the week.

haha.. looks like the honda started first from the video.. i watched it about 8 times but the vid sucks... cant really tell a whole lot.
I have raced every quad out there other than a ds650 and by no means has a HRC honda pulled 10 lengths on me when i was stock and stock tires also. I raced a guy at rocky creek atv here in Georgia with the HRC kit and he beat me but was pissed because it was only about 1-2 bike lengths. He had razr2s and all. Keep in mind i ride in Georgia hard clay/dirt and race in 300 - 330 ft. Stock for stock the raptor will win 8 out of 10 times with equal drivers and weight. I ride at durhamtown plantation alot and there are plenty of trxs there that have stuff done to them and i couldnt beat them when i had just a pcIII.. they wasnt beating my by hardly anything and i had the stock slick tires on there.

I guess the only real way to tell what is faster without ppl coming up with different excuses is for one person to make about 50 passes on a honda and get an average and the fastest time......... then for someone to get on the raptor and make about 50 passes and get an average and a fastest time. I have a friend with a 05 trx and he dont feel comfortable betting 50 a race. So i guess if you arent that confident in a stock machine then something is fishy.. I would do it all day long. stock for stock. may not get rich off of it but ill come out ahead in 300ft drag.

Must be something messed up with the Raptor then. My wife has a Raptor and I don't have a problem pulling trx450's at all. But once some internal work has been done they will pull me on the hill, not by much, but they still pull.

Yea dude read the whole comment before making stupid ass comments.

"I'm sure the driver has a huge affect on how each machine performs."

That would lead me to believe that the raptor driver wasn't worth a sh!t.
