So I have water getting in both of my oils, and I had a guy fix my water pump mechanical seal for me, but I am still getting water into my transmission oil. When he did it, he did it just by taking off the water pump cover and taking out the impeller, I did all of that and when I got to the seal right after the impeller which I assume is the mechanical seal, it wiggles back and for some at the top and bottom. Is that normal or could it still be causing water to get into the oil?

Hey guys, I'm originally from NC, but travel overseas as well as nationally for work. I get out at least 5 times a year for some long weekend trips. Excited to learn new things from the site.

A quick question/concern:

Last weekend I was out riding and my aluminum skid plate got bent a little so that it's almost rubbing the chain and sprocket. It wasn't actually rubbing so i carried on. About 15 minutes later in the sandy river bottom my rear end completely locked up. I tried to start it and acellerate and it was just bogging under load and dying (glad i didn't snap the chain).

So i had to get a stick and scrape all the rocks out from in between the skid and sprocket and the swingarm. Eventually after much forward and backward jamming, i was able to break it loose and continue riding.

Has anybody ever had this happen? Do i need to replace my chain now? It's fairly new to begin with. I plan to get rid of the skid and run the stock one for the time being. Not sure how easy it is to bend aluminum but this skid is heavy duty and it about tossed me over the bars.

Hello everyone I have a 2006 450r with the following mods Yoshimura full Exhaust, Hot cams stage 2, k&N filter with outerwear lidless intake. I take the quad to the sand dunes a lot and this isn't enough power for me. My question is what's the next mod you suggest doing? I don't want to go to crazy but another 10 to 15hp would be about right were I want to be. Is there a big bore kit you would maybe suggest? If I decide to increase displacement with a 470 kit what other mods need to go along with it such as head work re-jetting larger carb or anything else? thank you and excuse my noobness. lol

Hey everyone, My names Aaron and I live in the amazing State of Oregon, I just recently obtained my first Honda. It's a quite clean 2005 Trx 450r with what seems to be the HRC kit except it has a stage 2 cam. How do i figure out its an actual HRC kit? An how much does this actually help these bikes? On another note I honestly couldn't be happier with this bike. The only thing that's i'm not quite use to yet is the bike seems a little narrow as well as a little stiffer suspension from what i'm used to, but i will eventually get that figured out. I've been riding an 07 Ltr for the last 5 years so that is why lol. Does anyone have some tips on what I should upgrade on this bike and any known problems i should be wary of? As well does anyone have any race plastics for sale with a quad tech hood? Any Responses will greatly appreciated. Thank you.
