So I just got my JD +2 a-arms, GTT link and revalve, and new bars in and installed last week. I had been dying to try them out. Yesterday I got the chance. All was splendid once I got it running correctly(another issue altogether; see engine area). I was hauling ass around this pit I frequent. There's one decent jump in there that my buddy and I like to hit regularly.

This jump is kind of a pain in the ass though. It's always changing. After enough times over it, the take off ramp gets chewed up/rutted/uneven etc. This time it was pretty bad, before even riding it. The whole aproach was anything but straight, and nowhere close to even. About half way up there was a rise, and the top just rolled over. Usually we build up a little lip there to kick us up and over. No such lip this time.

Anywho, the landing isn't so nice either. If you don't take the jump straight you're basically screwed.

Damage was limited to a swollen neck(looked like a golf ball was lodged in my artery, left side), 'sand rash' on the right forearm, bumped knee, and a seriously hurtin' right hip. No visible bruising there, but boy there should be... I also pulled the muscle that runs from about my shoulder blade to the up by my left ear. You'll see why... Oh, the other thing was gritty teeth from all the sand I ingested.

So... enough chit chat. On with the videos!

This is how it's supposed to go.

This is how you get hurt.

Geeze....nice little get off you had there. I did notice that before that your suspension looked to be working rather well though :)

I agree. It's quite a bit easier to ride fast now. So smooth... So stable... I love it.
I bet the stock axle would not have survived that.

Also, for how you landed that, you're really lucky the quad didnt end up going end over end. Instead, you getting tossed off kind of balanced it out and it just rolled away :D

1st. you need better friends. that laughning on video was not cool
2nd. you need more gear. like a neck brace and a nemisis body armor and a long sleeve shirt.
3rd. you held on well and look good in the air! you try a mx track
