Decided to replace my old DFR seat cover... actually replaced the entire seat. A dealership had a brand new 08 seat that had a small cut on the OEM cover. Got it for $60. I also got a great deal on a slightly used red 08 gas tank off ebay to replace my beat-up 05 tank.
My new seat cover was custom made by Jet Trim. I think it turned out pretty nice... I like it. They are the same company that makes the DFR covers. Few pics... ![]() ![]() |

Thanks guys for the high praise.
Kinda sucks... I'm still stuck at home with a stupid foot injury. It's about 90% heeled and looking like thats as good as its going to get on its own. My stupid doctor should have put a screw into one of the bones to close that break on day one. Now he's saying that a legament connected to the bone near the break is preventing it from fully joining together. So now, after 4 fricken months it's looking like surgery and a cast again. The worst part is that my foot is pain free and functioning great now (minus some swelling). I even completed physical therapy over 2 weeks ago!! As for my build. It's MUCH more then what I had planned. Maybe even too much... With all this time on my hands I keep selling and buying parts... and the R keeps getting newer and newer. And that's not to mention the rediculas amount of time I put into polishing. The good news (for me) is that all the changes/purchases since my injury have been funded by the sale of all the stock parts and a few aftermarket stuff I had laying around. Got good money for everything on Ebay. Anyways, I'm out of things to do to this build. Only thing left is to buttom up the motor and toss it in the frame. But if I do that before I'm cleared to work... I know my dumb a$$ will go riding. And if I did and got hurt... no more dissability payment, which = no more R, truck, house, dog and so on. Actually, if this foot keeps me from working much longer all of these new shiney parts will be on the block. Hope it don't come to that but the R would be the 1st thing to go due to the cash thats gone into it. One thing is for sure, this build has come a long way since I thought it was finished back in early January. lol.. Shoot, I was almost done with the assembly back then and now it does'nt even look like it's the same bike. Even some of the engine mods have changed and I have'nt even ridden it yet! Sucks... |

Thanks Jim.. it really does suck bro. I would much rather be working and riding then stuck at home with nothing to do but screw around with the R. It was cool the first month or so but now it's starting to feel like punishment.
I WANT TO RIDE! |

I've been spending a lot of time on the ORG being at home in all and post more pics of my ride then most members. But beleive me, there are some members on here that IMO have much nicer builds. Maybe not all the bling but nicer parts then mine for sure... but thanks!! |
