Default 05 450 hard starting

Hi, I just picked up my first 4 stroke quad, got a good deal on on this 05, excellent shape. Its only kick start, and is very very hard to start!!!!! I rode it yesturday for a lil bit after a long time to get it to start, today its flooded bad from kicking it for a while with no luck. It is chilly out, 35, would that make it so hard to start or is there a lil trick to 05's??? Thanx in advance

what cdi box is in it? Pump the throttle twice and watch it run. Make sure you have new fuel in it.. Then check your jetting and post your mods..

Only mods on it is a lte dual exhaust, and a k&n filter. it is jetted for that system. So just pump the gas gas twice before kicking it, k I will give er a try, thanx

Do not touch the throttle when kicking it, it can kick back and blow your cases apart.

Try to kick it real slow til you feel the vavle can resistance.. then reset your kicker and go for it.. If it is still hard to start check you valve clearances..

It's just the cold they hate it. If I leave my bike outside I have to kick it like 50 times b4 it starts, but if it is inside it will start with 1 or 2 kicks.
