after riding for a few hours I checked the sight glass and saw no oil at all, I asked my friends brother who has an 06 trx and he said when he rides sometimes it does that also because it just gets trapped in the engine somewhere. I checked it 2 or 3 times throughout the day and it was empty every time, is this normal??

Only if you were checking your bike when it was upside down. haha If your sight glass is not showing oil, it is low. You might want to add some oil.

when i was changing my oil i put in the right amount n then let the quad warm up some. In a matter of a 10 seconds the oil got lower and lower in the sight glass. I killed the motor and filled it up with some more oil until it was at the right amount again. I started the quad back up and then it was fine.

its not normal. with engine off and quad on level ground oil level should be between the marks on the glass. Mine always is (and if it wasn't I would add some).

yeh make sure you on level ground. i've been seriously freaked out before when i stopped, glanced at it and saw there was no oil in it. then i realize the quad was pretty slanted. DOH! otherwise i'd look into it........

Yeah you gotta let it sit for about 20 minutes on level ground

30 seconds after you turn it off the oil level should be between the marks
(I like it at the top mark, there is not alot of oil in there to start with)

You should check the oil level everytime you ride the quad. Its a good habit to get into and it takes no time at all. I automatically look down to check it everytime I climb on.

What everyone else said ^^^^^^
whenever the glass says its full and it starts coming outta the screw hole, i add another blip of oil anyways, there isnt even a full quart in the whole bike...
(that sounded really bad...)
