I'm pretty sure if you just put a flux capacitor on, change the headlight fluid and the muffler bearings all the time your going to have the fastest bike ever.

ok so i read this article and then went and check my owners manual and it says to run SAE 10w30 in my transmission. Is there a reason your are running that other stuff? i have an 07 450r and just want to make sure i am running the right stuff. thanks.

You can use the regular oil in your tranny I do beleive it is supposed to be the 10W40 though, the stuff in the red bottle is what was originally used in the 250R's it works great. You do not want to use the Oil in the Silver bottle in your tranny, it will cause the clutch to slip.

i use belray thumper 20 50 in both sides. has been working great for me for over 2 seasons now, i used to use the honda oils but wasnt pleased, they cost more and after one 1 race day they would drain super thin, since ive switched to the thumper ive had no problems, i have to use 20 50 in the trans side because if i use anything else i loose neutral and my clutch does not work properly, ive tried the honda gear oil, ELF gear oil and i forget what else, rockymountain has best price on thumper ive found.

The red bottle honda tranny fluid is pretty good but I've had best results with this redline tranny fluid. It got rid of my false neutral and popping out of 4th and 5th gear problem. http://www.redlineoil.com/products_gearlub...mp;categoryID=6

I run Royal Purple Max Cycle 20-50 in the motor and Royal Purple Full Synthetic Gear Lube in the tranny side. Its good for wet clutches specifically.

Ya know, there is always a huge debate over what oils to run. I think it all boils down to this. Once you get above the garbage econo, run it in your pinto, oils all work well. One or the other won't blow your motor up or lock your tranny up.

I think is you run good oil, any good oil, you'll be just fine. And really, when you change your oil ever other ride or race, it doesn't matter what oil you run. It's not in there long enough to break down.

I've ran Lucas, Red Line, Royal Purple, Mobile 1, Hondaline oils, Maxima......all about the same. My tranny does shift the smoothest with the Royal in it...jmho. The bottom line it JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE OIL IN IT!!!

I prefer to run oil thats actually made, mixed, mfgr'd, and bottle in America. I believe America has better quality control oversight and you get a more consistent product. And it helps our economy not the habeebs.......
